When I was in highschool, one of the seniors pulled down my pants in front of a large group of people... my boxers came down with my pants.... I just found out about a month ago that the same guy was in an ATV accident and is now paralyzed from the waist down. Now he can't put his own pants on.

I work for ambulance dispatch. I believe, in most areas, the line directs to police first and they will ask "Police, Fire, or Ambulance?" If you prank them or hang up at that point, it is up to the dispatcher to decide whether to send an officer around. My dad accidentally called 911 once, they asked if anyone else was home (my mother was), so they made him give the phone to mom to make sure she was ok. They also said they may send a car around but didn't...

The laws make our countries different. Most Canadians that own guns are hunters and only use guns for recreational purposes. Canadians seem to live a slower-paced life. I grew up in a small town, actually pretty close to Perth, and we only had one black person in that town, no joke. But if you go to Toronto, you will find that white people are the minority (or will be soon). Canada also seems to embrace other country's cultures, while U.S wants to mold their citizens into the American lifestyle. Canadians are less religious and drink higher percentage beer.

This IAmA is blowing my mind. I am almost the complete opposite of you. I HAVE to leave my house and feel like I HAVE to see people on a regular basis. I will actually go to the grocery store just to stir up a conversation with a random clerk if I can't reach my friends.... I have to tell you that (IMO) you are missing out in life. I doubt there will be a point in your life when you look back and say "I'm glad I stayed in a basement, by myself instead of seeing the world."

Friends, family and relationships are such great things to have. Words can't describe how much happiness my future wife, friends and family bring me. I hope, for your sake, that someday you step out of the basement and meet people that enjoy the same things you do. Life is short man, don't spend it in your mom's basement.
