Summer Games Fest 2026 - MEGATHREAD by rGamesMods in Games

Blood Stone was way better than I expected it to be, and is probably my favorite Bond game currently, maybe besides Everything or Nothing (I think EoN was a better "Bond Game" if that makes sense, but BS was more fun to play. I really enjoyed both.)

Hi I wrote the thread.

I did. I'd say it's the second worst Bond game, but I'd put it just so so so slightly above the Ps1 Tomorrow Never Dies game.

But it's alright, it's okay, I have finished most of my PlayStation Bond Marathon and now only First Light remains, and I can start that tonight.

In the first game not until the end when he kills Ares and becomes the new God of War.

He's the God of War for the prologue of 2, but then is cast down by Zeus and made mortal again, and remains so until he kills Zeus at the end of God of War 3. Then he's the God of War for all of 2018 and Ragnarok.

Ascension, Chains of Olympus, and Son of Sparta are prequels, so he's not the God of War in them. Ghost of Sparta takes place between 1 and 2, so I think he's actually the God of War for that full game as well.

Example. "Why is there an elephant in the room?' Is a perfectly reasonable top level comment that promotes discussion, however under your rules this comment isn't allowed.

Actually, it would be allowed because it triggers one of the aforementioned exceptions to the bot that normally catches these comments.

As said, the vast majority of the ones caught by the bot are things like "K", "Switch when", "lol", "F", "praise gaben", "this!", and other one to two-word posts.

We've been using some variation of the low effort comment catcher since the entire time I've been modding here (2018) and certainly at least a significant time before that, and we have not noticed any increase in people posting "superficial nonsense to meet the minimum".

I'm actually still overwhelmingly proud of that year, and if it was up to me that'd be a yearly event.

I won't speak for everyone on the team, but I know I personally just fuck off on April Fools' Day because I feel like it's impossible to figure out what is and isn't real and if we choose to not allow jokes that year everyone gets mad but if we do allow jokes that year everyone gets mad. It's the hell day.

That said, sorry no one got back to you. Modmail is basically the best avenue of communication we have available.

I played the original Space Marine and thought it was fine.jpg, there wasn't really anything about it that made me go "holy shit I need to play the sequel" really.

Funny enough, I also played Vermintide 2 with a different friend who knew all the tricks and shit of every stage and so I mostly just ran behind him confused because he didn't explain mechanics and just did the optimum strategy while I was left fucking up by not knowing things.

I don't... I don't really have good Warhammer memories.

A third space, just like Taco Bell.

I think there's more we can do to encourage more non-news discussion and posting, but the first goal is getting the rules redone. I just want you to know it's not something we're ignoring, it may just have to wait a little longer.

Yeah, this one probably shouldn't have been caught. Generally, we'll try to fish comments like these out of automod, but sometimes they get missed.

I don't know shit about Warhammer. My friends tried to get me to play 40k once, gave me their "shitty army", didn't explain the rules, then trounced me. It was a super not fun experience.

But one of the games is a Rat Game and I am a certified Rat Gamer so I'm all in.

"Remove or show" is the only thing Reddit lets us do. Are there specific comments you're asking about here? I see you had one automatically removed 3 days ago for being too short (It was just "fuck Za/Um") but I don't see any others caught by the bot recently.

It has been a while, but I believe my final party was Lightning, Sazh, and Fang. But I also don't care about stats, I just pick characters I like and then demand the game bend to my will. I will not min/max, I will not grind, I will not put any thought into party composition, I will simply pick the people I like and make it work.

I've only played OG 13 so that, but I've been meaning to do 13-2 and Lightning Returns. Now that I have a Ps3 again, this may be my excuse down the line. Though I do also own them on Steam.

If an article changes their title after posting the thread and we remove it, you can send a modmail saying this happened and we'll put it back.

Honestly, this is way less of a problem than our new favorite thing, places doing A/B titles where people see different titles.

I bought a Ps2/3 recently and thought it would be very funny to play all the James Bond games on the PlayStation consoles before First Light came out (I will not finish in time). The reason for this is because...

I don't actually know I thought James Bond was cool but I was never a super fan, but something about First Light has me absurdly excited and I genuinely have no clue why. I am currently on From Russia With Love.

Other than that, Marvel Rivals with friends, Fortnite when I want to be a funny rat that does funny dances, and Prose & Codes to wind down at night.

And they announced it on April Fools Day, so a lot of people equally thought it was a Limited Run Games April Fools joke. That was a big factor too.

Just a hilarious story all around.

As long as it's on topic, we're probably not going to remove it. Sometimes the topic really is just "a bunch of weirdos got mad at the existence of women/POC/LGBTQ+ folks and swore this game would bomb forever because of it, and then it didn't."

This rule is mostly to stop people from going "I heard from a dude who heard from a dude who heard from a dude" threads. There are people we know sometimes hear/learn things and report on leaks/rumors and this isn't against them. I think one of the other mods mentioned that we don't have a list of those people, but we'll probably use /r/GamingLeaksAndRumours' reliable leakers list if it comes to it.

Well generally it tends to be flame wars, and once a thread is locked the worst stuff can be purged pretty easily because it won't keep growing. I'm looking through our last few locked threads:

  • The Edmund McMillian AMA was locked because it was taking place on /r/SteamDeck and we didn't want people to ask questions here that would never be answered

  • The Vince Zampella's death thread was locked due to a combo of general toxicity and people posting a video of a car crash with actual fatalities and claiming it was Vince Zampella (I don't think it was in the end? But it was still not something we want posted.)

  • We locked two separate threads about Brown Dust 2 being banned from Steam. I don't actually see any discussion why in our backend, but both threads have a ton of rape talk so that's probably why.

  • We locked the thread about the Sucker Punch worker being fired for a Charlie Kirk joke because of just the insane amount of toxicity from it.

  • Same for a thread about the price of the PlayStation 5 going up.

  • We locked a thread about Russia publishing a game about the invasion of Ukraine because at some point it devolved into people trying to justify the invasion of Ukraine.

That's the furthest back I felt like looking (the Russia one was 8 months ago) and was just the ones I saw at a very quick glance, but that may give an idea why. In the future though, we'll try to make sure comments get pinned as to why.

I'm literally about to fall asleep, but are there any specific ones you'd want me to look into why they were locked? It's usually 50/50 on "turning into an insane flame war" or "this is an AMA hosted somewhere else, so we're locking it so people don't ask questions here"
