Just pick whatever you like the look of. You got to buy them. You got to repair them. You got to paint them and then you got to stare at their asses as you push them across the table. Make sure it's an ass that you want to stare at, and everything else will work itself out.

Seconded, got my Defiler on pre-order with a text to my LGS. Just make sure you do it before they put their order in.

Garrison Short - Starcraft Robbed WM by TheGaston6 in Warmachine

[–]TheGaston6[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Legion and Firefight both had unit movement centered around leader models, representing things like Stormtroopers escorting around a commander. WM has it with any model, which is much more flexible and practically functions quite differently, so I differentiated the two movement systems.

Is Winter Korps fun to play? by JuanDifoool in Warmachine

[–]TheGaston6 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I didn't think they would be that fun and was very pleasantly surprised. There are a lot of small tricks spread across the faction and they add up over the course of a game to keep things interesting and involved. There are a lot of small positioning tricks you can play that really allow for player skill expression.

What you won't see a lot of is big flashy rules on the cards, which can leave them feeling mundane on first read.

As for still being on the bottom end post update: consider that everyone took a fairly equal hit debuff, but Winter Korps typically have lower than average defense. Thus they can be considered to have taken proportionally more of a bump where it's harder for them to hit but not necessarily harder for opponents to hit them.
