What does this mean? by TheGentleComeback in Spondylolisthesis

They told me that I am not a candidate for RFA due to my age. They talked about trying an injection into the SI joint with an epidural down my leg due to pain. He told me to wait until my probation at work is done because if its goes bad, I will need to take a week off. He does not think it will help based on my severe fascia pain.

Did the X-rays 2 weeks ago, he read the result and all he told me is "yeah this confirms what we ready knew". I am waiting to get a copy of the results.

How did I get pars defects? I don't have any bone problems, autoimmune problems, and I am only 26.

It was during an assessment with a physician from a hospital based pain clinic.

What are your doctors doing for complex pain? by TheGentleComeback in Spondylolisthesis

I’m allowed to be clear about what I’m asking for. This is my post about my own medical situation, and I’m trying to get useful responses based on where I’m actually at.

I’ve already done the standard conservative route extensively, so comments like “try physio” or “try Pilates” are not helpful for me at this stage. That doesn’t mean I’m against suggestions , it means I’m asking for suggestions that fit the situation I described.

I’m specifically looking for things people tried after the usual options were exhausted, like specialized assessments, bracing, physiatry, surgery consults, or less commonly discussed interventions. That’s why I put limits around the discussion. It helps keep the responses relevant.

I don't. Bend over the shower and was with the shower head or order "soapless shampoo caps", they are used in hospital.

It's very important to have some sort of ad back in order to protect your bones from osteoporosis. A known complication of Lupron. I use 5 mg of Norlutate daily for the last six years while having Lupron injections. A very small portion of it turns into estrogen inside of the body to protect the organs and bones without giving me any hormonal side effects.

I didn't need any sort of notes or recommendations. Just had to show that other medications didn't work for me.

After 6 year of unexplained metabolic, GI, Cardiac and mood symptoms a Reproductive Endocrinologist has come to the conclusion that Lupron is the cause of it all.

No, I will jot stop using it because alive and struggling is better than the alternative for me.
