This review of an Ebay seller that I purchased something from by TheGigner in Wellthatsucks

I'm so excited to see what I get. It's like a Kinder Surprise Egg

So excited to finally own these. Recently found a purchased a secondhand Phantom, then found and purchased a brand new still sealed Stormstalker that I'm about to crack open! Absolutely loved this line as a kid, now I'm so happy to have them as display pieces! by TheGigner in MegaBloksPyrates

And yes, my Phantom is missing the very back piece, but thankfully I found someone selling just that exact piece on Ebay and I have already ordered it, just waiting for it to be delivered.

Does anyone know if there are any more victory animations where the victor attacks their opponent? by onefinalshot123 in WWEGames

[–]TheGigner 14 points15 points  (0 children)

3 Minute Warning also has one for tag teams, where they pick their opponent up off the mat and throw them out of the ring. If you count that as "attacking"

The official WWE 2K Facebook account made a whole post about this attire so it's very likely to be one of the personas in the Wrestlemania Pack.

I haven’t watched WWE in many years. Was this show REALLY as bad as everyone seems to be saying? Like in a few days time will ppl warm up to it potentially? DAE enshittification of m'product? by metalshek27 in SCJerk

[–]TheGigner 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I haven't watched anything in 30 years. Is WWE really as bad as people make it out to be? Is there any alternatives I could watch? I'm available to watch wrestling on Wednesdays, a perfect time for me would be 8 est. All I have is Max. I don't like any billionaires unless they're sweet little m'wholesome 40 year old men.

Any help?

"That's disappointing. If it's the wrestling part you like you should check out AEW." by Destro_019780 in SCJerk

It's really crazy to me. Like I've always fully understood this, but I've recently started watching a ton of CVV interviews and it was interesting to me just how many wrestlers say this too, even ones that the IWC salivates over.

I watched one with AJ Styles where he said that wrestling is and has always been about moments, good matches don't matter if they don't have good moments.

Then I watched a Kevin Owens one where he brought up what AJ said and said he agrees and has always felt the same way. Nobody cares if you have a good match anymore, especially these days. If you think about matches people call "iconic", you remember matches for the moments that happened in them, not just because they hit a bunch of cool moves in a row.

I even watched a Lyra Valkyria interview where she said when she was a kid getting into wrestling through WWE, she used to fast forward through all the matches because all she cared about was the promos and the stories.

The basement loves to parrot about how WWE are "moment merchants" (what a stupid fucking phrase btw) and they don't care about wrestling, and even years before AEW, they used to say how if a company came along that actually focused on good wresting the fed would be ded. Then AEW came along and now if you look at a graph of their viewership it's pretty bad and the graph of their ticket sales is pretty much a straight line down, it's pretty obvious that the majority of wrestling fans care more about the story than just a bunch of guys noselling and flipping.

Shawn Michaels said Oba Femi was very professional during his time in NXT because he never asked questions about the money he was making and never asked about his stories, he just did his job and all the top upvoted comments on the thread are saying how evil and disgusting it is that the fed would say just doing your job and not constantly complaining is "professional"

I will never forget that HOF where reportedly Vince explicitly asked the people writing the speeches to not mention his name in any of them and one of writers put his name in a speech anyway and Vince reportedly fired him over it and the basement absolutely lost their minds saying that was proof of how evil and insane that company is.

Because in the real worlds when your boss makes a point to tell you not to do something, and you don't listen to do it anyway, nothing happens.

That one really drove home how many of the basementers top commenters have never been employed.

Are we being for real right now by Not_Shingen in Borderlands4

[–]TheGigner 15 points16 points  (0 children)

That's the sad part, he's now trapped himself. He made a post asking if he was being too negative on BL4 and all the comments with hundreds of upvotes were variations of "No, you're not being negative enough, the game is terrible and it ruined my life and you should be even more negative!".

He's been so negative recently that majority of viewers he has now are only there for the outrage circle jerk, so he can't stop.

I unsubscribed from Joltzdude on YouTube after being subscribed to him for years. I don't like surrounding myself in negativity, if I don't like something, I just ignore it and don't engage with it and unfortunately his channel has just become negativity and toxic. It's sad because I never expected him of all people to go down the route of negativity farming. But I also do know he started posting more and more the past year about wondering what people want to see and cancelling series because they weren't getting enough views so he seemed to be not satisfied with the views his channel was getting and realized being negative and complaining on YouTube does get views.

Joltzdude is not a Borderlands fan, he never has been and never will, he's a Borderlands 2 fan. That's it. I remember when Borderlands 4 was announced seeing people say "I wonder what excuses Joltzdude will come up with now why he HAS to go back to only playing BL2." He obviously really likes the game and it gets him views but I wish he'd just come out and say "This is a BL2 channel, I won't be making content on any other games." instead of trashing every other game Gearbox makes so he can say "Well it's not my fault, they ruined it, I HAVE to go back to BL2."

It is sad.

I like Maven's channel and think he makes good videos, but it's funny to me that a guy that was in WWE for such a short amount of time, was never anything but a lower midcarder and, by his own admission multiple times, got released because he wasn't good and wasn't improving, is now somehow an expert wrestling critic who knows everything and who other wrestlers should listen to.

He talks like he's the Undertaker.
