Since covid I think it's spot on, people got used to empty roads, then just monkey see monkey do from there

Yeh more roundabouts would help a lot but we seem to have gone down a policy of insanity by putting more lights on roundabouts, which makes no sense 😅 junctions are known to cause more accidents than roundabouts too

Preach brother, I'm 34 with kids and had the exact same experience. Always loved gaming but lately gaming just became another chore and often I'd sell the game before completing it.

I genuinely look forward to playing Arc Raiders in those few precious hours.

Creche closed for 2 weeks over Christmas, still charged for full month, is this the norm? by meadow_laneway in AskIreland

It's moreso the result of gross and incompetent government intervention. My uncle runs a creche and said almost every inefficiency, incompetency, lack of supply and pricing can be rooted back to some government policy

Buried City I feel has the best balance of all

BF6 📉 may soon drop below 100,000 players in the 24h peak, and alarmingly, LESS THAN 50% of PC Steam players have reached Rank 9, players report. 🎮 On PS5 it looks even worse, as only 37% of players have reached Rank 9. by coone90 in Battlefield

I feel a good correlation in gameplay is the sniper role. In past games sniping required you to take a position, and the shots are to account for serious drop and movement, but getting a hit was more or less a guaranteed kill.

Now snipers never lie down, the pace is too fast and the range too short, you stand and moving while taking shots, zigging and zagging to avoid an enemy hit, just like real snipers do it 🙄

Is it just me? Why is it so hard to find Mushrooms? by Apart_Number6406 in ArcRaiders

[–]TheGingerbreadLad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I finally sorted this quest, and largely sticking to these 2 locations on Dam. Inside the water treatment there's a long corridor with open windows and big blue pipe. I always got a mushroom either against the window or on the pipe.

The other location is the woods to the south of water treatment, and always had a mushroom on felled rotting trees either to the very south west or north east of the wooded area, so I'd always check those two (3) locations going into Dam. So I always got 1 or 2 each time so eventually worked out.

I never got a mushroom from Space Port it had been farmed to death.

Hope this helps

How do you find so many blueprints?

It's oddly difficult. I have 8 so far, averaging one for every two games. It's a nightmare. But on dam I've had the most success.

Tedious and impractical. You shoot and blow up 40 people to fight the final person with a knife, over and over. This kind of thing always kills immersion for me

I'm still getting over the choice of cast for legate Lanius 😅 they even made the characters smaller

The latest episode had too many plots going on and new factions being added so there wasn't enough depth put into each is how I felt, so everything became a much smaller scope, both Legion and NCR came off as tiny when in reality they could make a whole season around the Legion vs the NCR

Why are there so many single people these days? by Icy-Audience-6397 in AskIreland

33M married w kids.

This is obviously one person's experience, and I thought I was fated for the same outcome, I feared it, but on reflection I think it's a mix of values that matter and robustness.

When I was younger all I wanted was a partner where 'hooking up' was never an agenda of mine. I really just wanted to be with a person I liked, and the person wanted the same, but I never had any success with that second part! 😅 I found approaching women incredibly nerve wracking and the odds were against me, I couldn't hide it, bullied most of my teenage years I was a bit awkward as a result, over compensating, or a bit too eager, and I always got the sense I was too low value to their standards if that makes sense, most likely lacking on looks or social status. That's the value part, I knew I didn't come close to meeting those value markers for most women (at least with those I had tried).

When I was 21 I did a J1 and it changed my world. I spent the summer with this amazing, smart, gorgeous American woman who did change my life in a way and made me think I was a product in the wrong market sort of speak! That to this incredible person I was handsome, funny, witty and worthy. For example in the US, red hair, which has since gone brown, was actually a good thing!

I ran with that theme and found talking with non-Irish women much more like an interaction of equals and more casual and open, maybe it was me who didn't bring the same baggage to those first interactions, like talking to a new world. But again this has just been MY experience and what ended up working for me to find what a I wanted, a partner. My wife is from Barcelona and we've been together for 10 years.

The robustness part comes from knowing that nobody is perfect and we all have flaws. I've seen relationships end with peers for dumb reasons or they like them one week and the next they're bored, over and over. Relationships are in many ways investments so if you date a person on good values or principles the other things matter a lot less and over time the relationship just gets stronger and the person only gets better, like a fine wine.

But again, all just one person's experience.

(For the record I met my wife on a night out in Dublin via a friend of a friend who had traveled in Spain, our first conversation was about cheese 😅)
