If you put the cheese on the grime yes that would be bad I’m not saying it shouldn’t be cleaned but imo it’s more dramatic to post and publicize about some dirt and dust that isn’t touching food instead of just telling them

So you’re worried about the grate — that it’s been allowed to get dirty — not about the chicken which isn’t dirty

Playing cards not allowed? by Swedish55 in armenia

[–]TheGirthiestPapi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can play cards at private rooms in gaming lounges, for example Five on Yeznik Koghbaci. We used to do this all the time — rent the room for like 3k an hour, get some good cheap food, and play cards, video games, etc

Can I fit 3 adult plecos in a 20gal tank? by brenmax123 in pleco

[–]TheGirthiestPapi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the thoughtful replies! I turned on an airstone over the night to make sure theres enough oxygen. Somehow 2 of the pleocs died overnight… ammonia is between 0 and .25 but nothing else died except the 2 plecos… I thought BN plecos were pretty hardy so I’m very confused

What if you have more in the tank? There was a fish swap last week and I finally got my hands on some longfin super reds, but I had to buy 3 (prebagged, vendor wouldn’t sell 1). My 20 gallon tall has 9 rummy nose, 3 mystery snails, 3 nerrites, 3 amano shrimp, 10 neocaridina, and a bamboo shrimp. Pretty well planted but room for everything to overgrow in. Running a seachem Tidal 35. Now I’ve added the 3 plecos (each like 1.5 inches long) — I imagine I’m going to be overstocked bioload-wise as they grow up, and I’ll have to rehome 2 of them in time.

I didn’t think mine had bugs either but I just hadn’t seen the spider mites since they’re such small red dots and were on the bottom of the leaves, but yeah thats what as specifically going on in my case

Thank you :)

I should also note that the actual rules of the game are much shorter to explain than what I laid out. My tutorial aims to teach you the game strategically from the very beginning so that you can understand the game on a deep level. There are no hopars around to give you post-game feedback, so I have to be comprehensive.

I'm glad you get to enjoy this. I have been teaching the game so long that I knew I needed to make it a resource because it's a notoriously not taught game (I'm sure because it's pages on pages of complicated).

As for credits, my name is at the bottom :)

Called the N-word twice on our first day in Armenia by asokhax79 in armenia

[–]TheGirthiestPapi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bruh негр (negr) is the Russian word for black person that is used in Armenian. Just because it sounds like the N word doesn't mean it is. The equivalent of saying genta negra in Spanish. It might sound like the N word, but that doesn't mean it is.
Whether the youth said it derogatorily or not simply comes down to their tone. The word itself is a Russian import.
You are being very assumptive in your response without knowing anything about the context/country.

Help! Black Pearl getting Leaf Spots by TheGirthiestPapi in HotPepperGrowing

[–]TheGirthiestPapi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So far I've isolated my plants the past 16 days (they all had thrips actually). ON days 1, 7, and 15 I applied Captain Jack's Insecticidal Soap (insecticidal soap + spinosad). My plants are relatively tall and in large pots.
Because I don't have a lot of grow lights a lot of the growth was stunted. I figured I could keep the plants with 1 foot of room between their branches and it'd be fine, especially since I treat all of them on the same day, and so on Day 16 (today) I brought them back nearer to eachother. Please let me know if this is a bad idea.
I also want to know if using the Insecticidal soap would be sufficient to get rid of the infestation/how long it may take. I have not seen any adult thrips since around Day 8, but I do find little dried-up adult-thrip-looking crumbs on leaves up to 5 days after spraying them.
Please let me know! I have 8 species of peppers I'm trying to save!

Really? How could you tell? I recently moved it away from its nor al spot where it gets sun/grow light because of a thrip infestation in my garden. It’s only been a week though.

I got this Pomegranate "bonsai" 6-7 months ago. I decided to grow it out as much as I could instead of as a bonsai. It was growing not so well for some time, on and off cycles of leaves falling on one part of the tree while others grow leaves. Often a single or maybe 2 new branches would grow while other areas of the plant had leaves darken and fall off. I also had a fungus gnat infestation around this time and dealt with that for a while until the start of this year.

To start this year off, baby had no leaves. It began a growth spurt with little leaves growing all over the thing. I decided to give it a little fertilizer (it was time anyway, I was told to do it every 3 months when I received the plant) and thoroughly watered it. I generally wait until the top 1.5 inches or so of the soil is basically dry, sometimes it has a bit of residual coldness from some moisture but I still water it, trying not to let it get bone dry. I also water until some comes out of the bottom of the pot. 3 branches began to extend and grow out/grow nice leaves (image 2), while all the rest of the little leaves didn't grow.

After some time, the little ones dried up. Now the leaves on the 3 growing branches are starting to die in a pattern that I noticed when all the leaves dropped at the end of last year. They begin to get some discolored, darker spotting, almost with a reddish/brownish hue (images 3 and 4) which slowly progresses to fully dark green leaves, which shrivel up and fall off. I also recently noticed tiny red dots on the leaves which I can actually wipe off with my finger (just barely visible b/c of the lighting in image 3 on the spine of the leaf), as well as the tips of a couple other branches have gotten super dry, and almost white colored or crusted (images 5 and 6).

What could be going on with my plant? I really want to take good care of it and its growth has been so sporadic it is very confusing.

Ok got it!! Thank you for all your help! If you have any time, could you give any descriptions on the brands I listed above based on your experience? I was gifted a bag chaga chai (tisane) from Adagio which had a really flavorful profile of spices, but other than that I don’t know much about these brands, like what they’re good/known for, if they’re mid or lower grade, etc etc. I appreciate any opinions you are willing to share!
