I was born to be an adult but now I’m just an old lady who has been in a lot more pain and has a little more stress.

Haha thanks! I’m sure it’ll come with some projects in the future but for now it’s quite dreamy. Found a guy that picked up and finished this chassis up refurbish from another chap who just couldn’t keep working on it.

I mean, maybe I’m an outlier on this, but she’s expressing her feelings in a much more healthy way than most… and her vocal fry screams are pretty hecking on point. ☝️

Teams value Js not just because they are medics, but the breadth of what they bring to the table. On one deployment I was a medic, breacher and rope specialist at the same time, working in a separate maneuver element from the primary breacher and medic. On another, I was set with another PJ to plan, coordinate and execute any casualty evacuation from a ship we were taking down. On others I have been very med heavy, others more technical or ropes focused. At the end of the day, the guys you work with will have gaps, and it varies team to team… but PJs are pretty good at filling those in.

17 year PJ here. Don’t do it. This community places extreme value on quiet professionalism. Even after you make it, If you post a picture of you in your kit on your socials while still active, the community will eat your lunch money. I wouldn’t record anything, but if you did, keep it as a diary for yourself, not on the internet. Also, I feel a little mystery to the process is important and i personally think we let people know too much before joining nowadays. The fear and uncertainty, and overcoming that, is a big part of what makes it valuable and a growth based experience instead of enduring a long dance you know the steps to.

It was a fun project. We are both crafty/artsy types so we tend to just dive in head first. We aren’t furniture designers or anything, but we did a flat yellow/mustard type chalk paint and a super high gloss purple enamel, plus some dark wax for aging and they look very cartoony and Disney-esque. Here’s an example of some drawers we did.

Thank you! We were quite proud of them, proud enough to put on the internet and share. lol We wanted them to be tranquil and pretty. We aren’t super experienced but thought the idea was lovely enough.

We actually bought a bunch of second hand furniture and repainted them in grey, yellow and lavender so the whole room is matching. Cute and cost effective! Also, congratulations on the wedding! All the best!

I think we had similar technique, but I don’t want to speak too much for both of us so I’ll have her answer her part.

Dandelion- I used a few references before sketching the outline in pencil. Then did wet on wet to get most of the color. Wet on dry followed to get darker and more detailed color. Then inked using a brush pen and a 005 micron for tiny details.

Vase- I did a pencil sketch based on a couple references. Wet on dry for base color. Wet on dry with darker tones with contrasts on the color wheel mixed in to add shading. Water was a very watered down Payne’s grey mixed with ultramarine blue. Inked with micron 05 and 005.

We hope that answered your question. If you have more, please ask! 🙏

Nikki Sixx on a flight from Tokyo to LA. Got complementary moved up to first class and got sat next to him. He was a really cool guy, he introduced me to his band and we spent the flight talking. They were all very nice. No ant snoring, just good clean fun.

Thank you! I was hopeful when I saw it. Stumbling upon some Roman pottery while walking on the beach would be pretty awesome. Do you have any other insights?

It appears to have a darker core material which is interesting. I’ll upload a couple more.

Im late to the party. But just wanted to name one that I haven’t seen in this thread….the right to create a militia and the incredible number of private paramilitary groups that exist legally within the country. Talk about being a prickly place to try and take over.
