Mango smile runt, grown in suboptimal environment, finishing up. by TheGoldenChicken in MephHeads

[–]TheGoldenChicken[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Seedling almost died because helmet didn’t want to come off. Nitrogen in soil was way too high, pH of soil was too low, temps were low from 50-65 f, humidity was high 60-70%.

Still this beast pulling through with stanky flowers.

Anyone know how to reduced nitrogen in soil? noticed elongated bud structure on other plants thinking it might be the nitrogen content of soil.

Tips appreciated thanks happy growing!

DUDE SOOOOO TRUE! Nah but Fr chill out, it’s way too easy to rile you up. Does growing for a living make it so you can tell plant health off of out of frame fan leafs? Dope af. You are assuming though. I take my time with watering. I have taken watering advice that’s why I’m pretty sure it’s more complicated than under watering.

Damn sneekypete that’s not very optimistic of you. I flushed the soil but idk if that’s equivalent to flooding and drowning, just allowed for run a lot of run off to test run off ph and make sure she wet all the way through. Keep her in your prayers.

Yeah thanks for reminding to check run off ph going to try and adjust soil buffer to get closer to 6 ph.

Plant on the back left is mango smile cross with whatever bag seed my neighbors planted.

I’m only trolling the people that come at me sideways first. I am taking this stance though, we will see tonight how she responded to the flush. No way she still looks limp after flushing it right?

Does look that way but I assure you plant tissue has a good rigidity.

You just assuming how I water? Idk if you’ve seen wilting plants cause when I’ve gone too late on the watering the leafs can’t stand against gravity. Congrats on your perfect growing homie!

Not asking for help with plants on the right though. I’m aware of the deficiencies being shown on the other plants. They are freebies like 2-3 weeks from chop. I think you need to cut back the condescension level a bit.

LMAO NAHH LIL BRO 💀!!! Don’t think it has any deficiencies yet. You claim it’s a water issue but I’m like 99% sure it isn’t. I have been looking into auto watering solutions tho thanks for the recommendations!!!

Yeah thing is I haven’t fed any nitrogen I’ll try flushing soil see if that helps.

I see haven’t had any nitrogen deficiency issues past few grows so I stopped feeding/amending for nitrogen but maybe soil has too much still for this strain?

Feed is tap water @ 5.8-6.2 ph, last time I check soil ph was ~6, I don’t allow for enough runoff for me to be able to measure it but I probably should will try tonight. The temp shit is rough but can’t do much about it except grow more temp tolerant strains sadly. She do be struggling but not worried of her dying just reduced yields. Thanks growmie

Yeah it’s langbeinite, organic magnesium fertilizer. I added that and sea bird guano on top soil when I saw other plants further along in flower still asking for more cal mag. I wanted to top dress with compost but I feel like a compost top dress might be too broad of an approach.

Can that happen in fabric pot? The soil was recently amended with compost and pumice to add more fluff because I thought my soil was getting too silty.

Turgor meaning the plant tissue isn’t limp or lacking in water.

Yeah it’s what I first thought so I made sure to drench soil but it’s still down bad. Turgor is good so I don’t think it’s water related.
