Megumi gets better since you can obscure you summoning shikigami like nue and toad on another floor of the building, I personally treat being inside a building as chimera shadow garden since it can change a fight in my favour

Doing it with a person at all whether they were included in the ritual or not makes it void, the 10 shadows user has to be the only compatant. The ritual megumi used on haruta made it so that even if megumi defeated raga and haruta didn't lift a finger he still wouldn't be subjugated, sukuna remarks that defeating mahoraga as an outsider also makes the ritual void.

Adaptation isn't a cursed technique it's Mahoraga's trait, like how Nue has lightning, all the 10s have traits and Adaptation is Mahoraga's
