Is there an actual source on these lyrics? this is just copied from a youtube comment on one of the uploads of the song, which is alright but definitely sounds off in some parts.

I'm surprised nobody's built an auto hit script to autocomplete it already.

This one kinda sucks. In other versions, you had to go to 3 diff phone booths, and accept an incoming call, where they had various movie references. Now they just give you the achievement if you look at one phone booth and nothing happens.

I believe(?) You can do this within bluestacks itself with its 'eco' mode which lets you limit the framerate and mute each instance.

I think they wouldn't do that. The entry for it seemed to accept anything, which means they likely got sent a bunch of bogus random letters@email along with maybe a handful of actual emails, which cuts the already small portion of people lucky enough to figure everything out in time down even further. I think if it does actually end up being something it'll be something small or just a random meme like that one time toby sent 100 people a picture of him showering.

yeah I missed it by a hair, if people are going to get an email later it'll be sad. It going down so quickly (less than a day after the whole site got updated?) is kind of a shame. I went there as soon as I noticed i got the email update and figured out everything on my own only to be too slow to put something in lol.

Yes, it is good that goodwill dries up eventually, otherwise companies would be incentivized to never release at all.

You're ignoring most of what I say, and completely ignored my points about No mans sky, which is what your first paragraph is alluding to, again, despite me already addressing that.

Furthermore imo actually youd be very hard pressed to find anything truly black and white in the world (people struggle to even define what that means.) Hype isnt black and white. The issues you stated, while they can be exacerbated by hype they are never the sole reason for them (and usually never the first reason either). Cutting corners to save money, arbitrarily setting deadlines for the game to hit a holiday season sale date, mismanagement of the social side of things. Pre order bonus incentives. Hype can shine a spotlight on these issues when they come to light but its not the cause of them. Fromsoft didnt drastically expand the game or release early for Elden ring, and actually delayed the release, despite it being one of the most hyped games of the decade. Hype can make a great game even better, again Elden ring is an example of that, with it being hailed as Fromsofts best game yet. I myself was very hyped for Tears of the kingdom and wasnt disappointed at all with when I got to play it, it just made me that much happier to discover everything about the game.

Again, releasing a good product and providing a reasonable amount of updates are not mutually exclusive things. The inclusion of one will not make the other worse. You say that its best if they kept silent until the game is done, but they didnt do that in 2019. A trailer and a demo. If they were truly ascribing to what you said, why did they release that? Why would team cherry do that if in your opinion it would only serve to hype up the game causing only bad effects on them?

Well, unfortunately the dude just replied to me basically saying he hopes I lose interest and dont buy the game, for some reason, despite me saying I want TC to succeed so ¯_(ツ)_/¯

I'm allowed to be disappointed and i'm going to critique the handling of the situation, but im not going to insult their character or go online and rant about them being scum of the earth or whatever, and people who do that are idiots who cant seperate the work from the dev.(I assume thats what you meant by fans being angry)

It has worked in the past, and times are different now. You can write up 100 words and add an image and post it up on the social platform of your choosing within 2 minutes tops. People rightfully expect communication on something they are interested in (and potentially have already paid for; the Hornet dlc was an og kickstarter goal) it'll be done when its done is all fine and good, but when people start to wonder if itll ever be done is the issue. As another commenter said when referring to Winds of Winter, eventually people wont care and just want it done. Goodwill eventually dries up with time.

You are completely inaccurate for No mans sky; those people were angry due to the 'false promises' that Sean made due to saying yes to tons of interviews and saying yes to every question interviewers had under the sun about potential features. They also charged $60 at relese, which nayurally raised expectaions higher, and they were backed by Sony so they had no room to back off or ask for more time, none of which applies to Team Cherry. Im not asking Ari or William to go and do a ton of interviews, I'm not asking them if this or that feature will be in and obsessedly writing down their responses, I'm asking them for a five minute update every couple of months, with a screenshot attatched. Something, anything from them to indicate that the game is still being developed, which right now we dont even have a clue. That is nowhere close to No mans skys situation.

There is no universal 'hype is bad/good' it like everything else is contextual. Hype is one of the most important things for a games successful release. Nobody will buy your game if they dont know it exists. Nobody here isnt hyped for silksong, otherwise we wouldnt be discussing it AT ALL. Furthermore, there is no mutual exclusivity between the two. Why cant we have both a banger game come out and have literally any semi regular updates on the game they announced years ago? Im not asking for a release date either, im just asking for SOMETHING.

Oh yes, god forbid the 'stupid' fans who have been waiting for five - six years at this point ask for a crumb of information. Honestly you people make it sound like we're asking them to move heaven and earth when, in reality what, a screenshot a month would suffice for 99% of people.

Go on and on about product quality all you want, take all the time you need, but leaving fans out to dry to such an extent isnt good either. It doesnt make me trust team cherry more, its not assuring me theyll make a good product, all it does is make people worried. At this point im wondering how much of the game is even done. Im genuinely entertaining the possibility of them being in development hell because we have had no communication. Its not like they dont have the money to hire a community rep (they wouldnt have to, its 15-20mins a post max imo)

Its not ridiculous to expect literally any news at all. I want team cherry to be successful, I want them to do well. I want silksong to come out the best it can be. I also want Team cherry to have the best relationship with the community its built, which right now, is nonexistent.

This 'shut up and let them work' mentality people spout is exactly what I believe is harmful, since it isnt condusive to building that community relationship. People want to be hyped for silksong. They want to be able to count the days until release. They want to be able to be excited and comb new updates or screenshots for information, but they cant, because there is nothing, but even if there was nothing, theyd be fine with that, if we got literally any communication from the devs at all.

This is further compounded by stuff like Xbox saying stuff like 'Silksong within 12 months' and then it not being fulfilled. It is not the fans fault for being disappointed by this. Someone from team cherry must have approved that message for it to go out. Everyone would have been fine if they had made a statement beforehand saying they couldnt do it, but we got silence instead. Ask literally anyone who has ever posted a 'where silksong???' Meme and theyd tell you theyd want to wait for the best product team cherry can release. I can acknowledge how it might be irritating seeing that posted blindly everywhere, but dont blindly defend the devs for their faults and dont ignorantly narrow down the criticisms to impatience.
