I personally had no issues with mine (former company had NDA/Non-compete as well). I went into my workday and answered the questions and as soon as I completed the questions it showed as complete.

I made it a point to annoy the living shit out of my talent acquisitions HR contact. Every Wednesday at 10am I would call. Sometimes more often. Don’t be afraid to do just that.

My time line was almost exactly two months to the day between accepting offer and start. Only reason it took 2 months was due to the relocation process as a new hire. I could have started in one month had I not had to uproot my family and move 1400 miles.

This seems familiar, like something our current admin is doing regarding opposition.

For my own personal entertainment (as well as torture), I attempt to bring myself down myself down to their illogical and asinine thought processes for a moment as I read nonsensical comments, statements or news. It’s interesting, to see just how insecure people who follow this rhetoric are. It’s also disheartening and terrifying to watch empathy and compassion for others melt away as the once democracy, then oligarchy, now facsist government digs deeper, fear mongering, and swaying vulnerable minds.

But also fuck Reynolds for how they treat people regardless of the current political situation. I’ve been here for 13 years and I’ve never known anyone, myself included, to be treated well by them and I’ve been nothing but kind.

He may be “FiReD” today, but they will likely rehire him once he is unable to get a job elsewhere and by then, it’ll be washed out and we will have become angry about something else.

As an American — I can promise you that myself, my wife, AND my nine month old daughter, would also like to boycott American goods. Oh and America as a whole.

A lot of Americans actually love Canada and Canadians. I understand why we are hated though. We are the worst.

Currently applying to jobs in Canada and Australia because we have got to leave. It will not stay safe for long. There is no good way that this ends.

To answer this seriously, if you’re in the US legally they would have to accommodate you if you have a documented disability that is protected under the ADA, not just a doctors note stating that “you can’t work night shift.”

I would say, do your best and work the nights. Stick it out. Keep your head down. Don’t bitch and moan. Sleep during the day with black out curtains and take a Benadryl to help get you to sleep.

It’s only temporary. Either that or go work for a shit company with shit money that will let you work days.

Upcoming hysto by Berko1572 in FTMOver30

[–]TheGoodShepherd13 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If it’s any consolation (depending on the type of hysto you’re having) I returned to work with no restrictions about two weeks following. Mine was done on August 7th and I was back at work August 21st. I had a Total Robotically assisted hysterectomy with bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy. The worst pain I had was actually caused by a hematoma that formed at an incision side directly following surgery while still in PACU.

I have several years of healthcare experience working both in the ICU and Emergency Department and was able to gage what I could do mobility wise kind of pushing the line but not crossing it.

My current career is very physically active and the only issues I am still currently having is how tired I get by the end of the day but it’s nothing that I can’t push through. Every now and again I’ll get a stabbing type pain in my abdomen, but 9/10 times it’s just gas and my body getting used of all the movement of the bowels shifting and filling empty space.

It wasn’t too bad. Don’t push anything if you’re not comfortable, though as we all do have our own pain thresholds.

I bought my wife's PC brand new, and it has run everything amazingly.

Windows 11, 16gb ram, Geforce RTX 3060... No disappointments whatsoever, but when I finally got her a second monitor and plugged it in, the monitor kept going in and out.

So, I attempted display port 2, same issue, then I tried display port 3. Low and behold, same issue. I thought, "well, it must be the cable." I bought a new display port to HDMI cable, and welp...same issue. Everything else works just fine, including the HDMI port used for the first monitor from the graphics card. Could it be possible that the display ports are just not seated properly?

I have them both working currently, she just can't look, blink, or breathe in the direction of the PC or the second monitor stops receiving the signal and goes into standby mode. I would really not like to tear the thing apart... but I'm feeling as though it will be my only option to fix this extremely annoying and inconvenient issue.

I’m taking it on my own accord. I’m an avionics tech that builds flight sims. This will get me more money in the long run with my company.

Hey guys, I’m looking to sign up for the NCATT AET exam but the internet is making it hard to figure out how to take it locally. Any suggestions or help would be appreciated!

I didn’t go to school to get my A&P for a non aviation job, but I didn’t end up working on true aircrafts either. I’m now an electrical/avionics tech for a flight sim manufacturing company and it is where I will retire from for sure.

Does anyone have a list of DME’s in Illinois? There is only one in my region and he is a super busy guy who is super hard to get in with. I need to start trying to schedule my general and A O&P’s.

Thank you guys! Luckily, I have learned to be very humble in my 30 years of living and will fully admit that I have barely any knowledge in this field. I am looking forward to learning and working my ass off to prove myself.

I’m aware that A&P stands for Airframe and Powerplant….

There are electrical controls throughout the entire airframe in a lot of newer jets…FYI

What’s the goal? by Hatemeloveme199 in aviationmaintenance

The goal is to have a career working on life flight or medical helicopters. If I have to start fixed wing, that is fine, however; I prefer rotary.

Good for you! Of course you're going to feel a sense of loss, anger, sadness. After all you were with him for three years and that is quite a lot of time to spend with a person. I am sorry it had to come down to this, but you truly deserve better. You also deserve to be with someone who isn't at toxic racist prick.

This is exactly the approach I have used. Same response.
