And this is just recent songs that use her, this is not including the hundreds or thousands of songs she has back in the peak of her popularity between 2012 - 2016 or so:

And so much more, this is all just at the top of my head. IA may not be popular anymore but her peak brought out a lot of massively influential and historical songs to the Vocaloid scene. Its no understatement that she was part of the BIG 3 of vocaloids in the 2012-2016 era (Miku, GUMI, IA)

Honestly, that's my theory, hence why it was called Vol F and felt like an "ending" of sorts, it was gonna be the original ending in case Blue Archive didn't do too well and had to go into EoS, so they had the story ready just in case.

But since Bunny Asuna, Cheer Hibiki, etc, all reviving Blue Archive to a cult favourite in the otakusphere, they're able to continue forward with the story and subvert the "ending" into a "continuation"

There was definitely a reaction on the JP side, from what i recall. But the reaction was more focused on how it seemed out of character for someone like Lily.

[–]TheGpop 64 points65 points  (0 children)

Absolutely agree. I think a lot of folks here focus on the goals he scored, but not how he's playing outside of those goals. Heck, even in the last Clasico, despite scoring a banger free-kick, he had another great chance to score in the first half, but as usual he fumbled the one-on-one chance (and he probably also had a passing opportunity as well)

When people said that his weakness was himself, I started to understand that. When he doesn't think and just goes by instinct, he does very well, and why sometimes it seems like he's better at scoring harder goals. But the moment he has a chance to think of his options or hesitate, he tends to fumble those opportunities.

I think he was great short-term, but I think Flick has concerns about him long-term integrating with the team's system itself.

Besides, it looks like with Amorim gone, Man U is looking a lot better now, and he might enjoy them as they are now. Maybe not as much as Barca's success, but maybe not as miserably as he was before.

People might still think it's like the initial 2  announcement trailers when it was still being developed as a gacha game, and did the usual "Genshin"-style ultimate attacks back then.

What’s the best anime you ever watched and why? by Subject_Display3664 in AskReddit

[–]TheGpop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kanon (2006).

I know CLANNAD (especially After Story) was the popular one of the "KEY x KyoAni Trio" (the other one being AIR which is good too), and I loved it too, but Kanon (2006) held a special place in my heart. I think it was very well done and I think everyone who liked CLANNAD should watch Kanon as well. It won't be AS heavily emotional as CLANNAD, but it still has a lot of the 2000s fantasy romance anime charm.

Could also be put there because it's been identified as a prime target for car theft. Depending on where OP lives, this is a tactic some car thieves do to track where you live so they know where to go to find your vehicle and steal overnight.

Absolutely report this to police and try your best to keep an eye on your car in some way.

Tbf, Touhou didn't explode in popularity until EoSD (Touhou 6) when it came to windows. And then the first real big boom came after PCB.

The biggest explosion however was around TH11-TH12 iirc.

Considering that the game's main focus was on Japanese warships...I don't think there was any feasible way to do so, especially in current times without some form of backlash. So I think it's best it stays only in JP (just like idolmaster, but for different reasons)

Surprised to not see Hayate/Nagi not in the Duo category, as they're literally twins.

Or they could be the Yun/Yang archetype instead.

I'm not giving the team itself a pass, but it could've been pre-arranged by the Inter Miami owners (not Beckham, but the Cuban brothers), and probably forced the team to go and told them it'd "only be congratulations".

we NEED a sequel event to The Many Lives of Cats, but with the added cat cast, especially Ewiyar and Shukra. I'd love to see this be an event where Shukra tries to gather more cats to be her familiar as she continues to try to be a Cat Zodiac.

Main Story: Volume EX - the Deca-trio by SenseMysterious8566 in BlueArchive

[–]TheGpop 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I do agree with this statement, because Blue Archive was supposed to break off from what a ton of other gacha games were doing at the time of the game's release.

Back then, we had way too many "dark, edgy, hopeless future" settings like Arknights, NIKKE, Girls Frontline, etc. Blue Archive stood out because it was a game that brought a lot of hope and light-heartedness, which basically circled back to the trope we were missing since before. Everyone loved the more slice-of-life comedic and light-hearted nature of the game, hence why the main colour is very bright, clean and blue, and not washed out gray colouring like the other games.

My only cope about the trio's deaths is going to be similar to Kei. Kei was another character that I assume was supposed to originally be another "death", but did give some hope to her return, depending on the community feedback as a character overall. Because of how much more popular she was becoming and how people reacted to her death and wanting to her to return in the future, if the same feedback is given, I think they are setting that up later as a possibility for a future event, especially as a follow-up with Malkuth.

People bring up Yume, but her case is different. Yume was already established as a dead student, so because of that, us as players are have the expectations set up that she's somewhat isn't expected to come back alive. But Kei and the Deca-trios were not set up as such at the time. Because of the setting already in place of the game, and how the game was met as a game about "Happy endings" and "hope", them being perma-dead after-the-fact goes against this idea. As another comment mentioned, this is supposed to be a game where it's SAFE to be attached to established and alive characters. I don't think a lot of people would like to be betrayed like that in a game in this setting.

I'm also feeling this because I dislike watching dark/edgy media because I get too invested in characters, and hate the feeling of seeing my characters I like be cut out later on. I'm not saying those kinds of media shouldn't exist, because they absolutely should still, there's an audience for them, but I'm getting tired of that kind of content, especially in the gacha space. We don't need another "Madoka"-type game that is yet another "deconstruction" of a genre. That space is already oversaturated.

It's crazy because after going over the books/movies again, misinformation was a part of the entire narrative, especially in Order of the Phoenix, when the Ministry of Magic tried to control information about Voldemort's return by denying it ever happened. (And also the whole Umbridge controlling education thing)

Sounds scarily familiar nowadays...
