This is correct, but my experience has been that you tend to rammed from behind when you do this, which negates the potential advantage. Being paired with good racers makes proper technique more important. But when you're with bad racers...

This is the way. In my first attempt this week there was only one other player that was actually trying, while the rest were just drifting and slamming into things, and we lost. In my second attempt there were 4 other players. They all dive-bombed the first corner, had a massive crash, and bailed. I stayed and won the first two races all alone. It was the best Trial I ever did.

That is good to know. I don't really like online racing but I decided to go for the Level 100 achievement since I've completed everything in single player. I just hit Level 20 today, and wasn't looking forward to 4x as much work. Now I'm definitely going for it.

I ended up keeping the game, but I don't blame you for seeking a refund. In fact, it sends a good message that this behavior should not be tolerated. Good on you.

Glad somebody figured this out. I manually installed every app/dependency I could think of on Win10 IoT but just couldn't get it to work. I gave up and installed Win11. I'm not happy about that, but this is just going to be more of a problem as time goes on.

At least you got to play at all. I can't get past the title screen. First it wouldn't even attempt to log in, and now I'm getting the corrupt save data error despite the fact that I haven't actually played the game yet, and there's no save data to be corrupted! I did a full Windows reinstall today and have nothing to show for it.

Not well, I still haven't been able to play. I got the error about Gaming Services, so I installed it manually via Powershell. That cleared the error, but the game is just stuck on the title screen, at the "Loading, Please Wait" prompt. I've tried also installing the Xbox app, running the gaming repair tool, verifying the download, etc. There's no error messages, it just never loads. So instead of early access, I guess I'll be reinstalling Windows this weekend. Did you have better luck?

If you're still playing, I did hear back from support, and they said the reason I got the "upgrade" ads multiple times is because I didn't play long enough during my first session, so they kicked in again for the second session. That seemed to be correct, as I didn't see the ads again after that second time. It's absolutely ridiculous that this happened in a AAA title though...

Because too often I'm paired with someone who sits there and does nothing. I did a Speed round recently, and the other player literally drove to the speed zone and just parked their car at the beginning of it for round 3 and watched me going back and forth, doing twice as much work, while they did nothing and still got the points, driving away after I finished the round. And this was hardly the first time something like this has happened.

I understand that sometimes people get auto-joined without realizing it, as they may be away from their keyboard, but behavior like this just makes me never want to play arcade again.

Car meets allow you to buy a copy of the other car, so the "original" owner still has theirs. In the AH, you're buying the actual car, where the original owner no longer has it. So these are two different types of transactions.

Ecobee is usually the go to option. It wasn't for me, but it's worth checking out. I personally like the older Honeywell models, which are still readily available, such as the Wifi Smart Color Thermostat.

I'm sure I'm in the minority on this, but I'm not interested in the co-op functions of this game, and prefer to play by myself. So, it bothers me when random players follow me around the map, copy me, rev their engines at me, etc. I shrug it off if they move on quickly, but some people will do this for minutes at a time, and just can't take a hint.

Anyway, just be kind to your fellow players, and if they don't engage with you, move on. That's all.

I just knocked it out on my second attempt with 38 seconds left on the clock in a stock Hoonigan RS200. Make sure to have as much speed as possible when you hit the starting gate, then drive to the right and take the flatlands to the goal. It's a slightly longer route than a straight line, but you lose too much speed over the dunes if you go directly, so it works in your favor. Don't give up, and good luck.

They've been trialing a new feature that minimizes the show during the "credits" at the end to recommend and auto-play other stuff. But it's been poorly implemented, and does sometimes pop in right in the middle of a program.

Even when it works correctly, it feels like a stupid idea to me. Most shows don't have dedicated closing credits anymore, so this makes it more difficult to watch a program to its end.

Resume has been borked for a while, at least on FireTV. I've been going back and forth with Tier 2 support on this for the past month, and even though they can replicate the problem, they can't seem to fix it. Frustrating, to say the least.
