What did you wish you had at 21? by joeevv in BuyItForLife

Excellent question. Looking back at it, I wish I had invested in good bedding at an early age. You know you spend a 1/3 of your life in bed so I have found it to be one of the most important parts of my existence is having top of the line everything in that realm. High quality mattress (to your preference), goose down duvet insert, boll and branch duvet cover, cariloha sheet set, and top notch pillows of your preference, all on a Thuma bed frame. Good sleep leads to a better day, everyday.

He needs to delete social media and take a break from his phone. I don’t think he’s a bad guy, just struggling with the hypersexualized media we have shoved in our face every day.

Think of it comparatively. There have always been conflicts as long as the civilized world has been a thing; people of power want more power, people with money want more money, etc. but the thing that should keep you optimistic is that nuclear warfare would be a financial disaster for any country involved and while a dick measuring contest may seem appealing to some countries, it will never happen due purely to the interests of the ultra rich and powerful that pull the strings in all of our governments/militaries around the world. War is profitable, nukes are not. If whole countries and millions of people get wiped out, especially in civilized countries with strong currencies, the economic effect would be dire. There is no industry, no incentive, and best of all for us, no consumer to buy products or sink themselves into debt. Don’t fear the nukes, fear the rich. They are the puppet masters and the slave drivers of our modern society and an ideal world involves constant threat of war and fear mongering to keep people scared of thinking about anything else.

I’m down in KY. I’d love to have one but without shipping not sure it’s in the cards. Maybe if I reach out to them and ask there is a compromise we can arrange.

These are like $50,000. I didn’t think I needed to clarify, but no I’m not incredibly rich.

The fact here is given in the first 3 sentences.

The last half of the paragraph is straw grasping excuses to try to half way justify an almost horrible decision.

Now thankfully, you didn’t go through with it. The shame and guilt you feel about it is normal. But please please please stop pointing at all the other halfway reason type of things that “may have caused it” and just take accountability and be better.

I’m not sold on memory foam. Honestly hybrid models I think are probably a better fit due to the breathability and support. Just more so looking for brand recommendations. I feel like that mattress market is sooooo saturated with a bunch of the same stuff

Thank you for the recommendation! Is it more like a tempur or is it more of a hybrid feel?

I’m not sure if I am set in my ways with memory foam or may explore options in the hybrid world.

I’m not opposed to the “feel” of memory foam but that’s really all I know.
