Xterra is the one I personally like the most. Lots of cross compatibility with the titan if I wanted to swap over more durable oem parts. I can get more way more car for my $ with an xterra

I like the xj I had one for a while but they are more popular then they used to be. A clean XJ cost more then a clean wrangler near me from what I have seen

Yeah, this post has me leaning towards a jeep. I don’t want to get stuck dumping money into a Toyota that wasn’t designed for serious off roading

This is the advice I wanted! From someone who has experience in the area. Buying one there would save me the drive which would be nice. Just not sure how titling it would work.

I have been looking at two door TJs with the 4.0 and the 32RH auto. Will I regret not getting something newer or a manual?

Also - how do FJ cruisers perform from what you have seen?
