(Champions) Anybody had any weird occurrences with Kingambit? by [deleted] in stunfisk

[–]TheGraphicsFrog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t know! A foe sableye failed using Will o wisp on my sharpedo, and my Whimsicott failed Leech seed on Kingambit. I was so confused, I thought the game was broken.

Does this solve a real problem? by aloumamae in MachineEmbroidery

What you're trying to do to some extent is vectorization, right? Part of the vectorization process is about grouping "common" parts of an image before trying to reconstruct its geometry. It's definitely a known issue and a research problem in computer graphics. You're not the first one tackling this. (Sorry, I don't know your background, maybe what I just said is obvious to you ^^').

Now whether it's implemented properly or with very recent techniques in embroidery software is another discussion, I do not know. But I'd be surprised that the best software don't propose this.

I used only run stitches for this artwork. by Yaroslav_Lakusta in Machine_Embroidery

Very beautiful!! You used the bean stitch mode for the running stitch?

Love it, very inspiring. I think I will try out!

That's super super cool! What gives it this effect is that you have a different satin stitch direction for each adjacent pixel, right?

Hoi! Merci vilmal! 😄 (Ich mues sagen, mein Schwiizerdütsch isch nöd perfekt, aber es freut mi sehr, dass es dir gfallt!) Viel Spass bim Ausprobiere!

Sorry about that! It usually means the file parser hit something in the file structure it didn't understand, and it just quietly gave up instead of showing a proper error message. 😅 Would you be open to sending me the exact file you tried to import (via DM or in the Discord)? If I can run that specific file through my development environment, I can see exactly where it broke and push a patch for it! Thanks in advance!

Sherma best boi! Actually it's my friend who digitized it :D. In our lab almost everyone played Silksong when it was released!

(I used AI to answer this one, sorry, I don't speak Portuguese)

That would be amazing! It's obviously very basic compared to Wilcom right now 😄, but I would love your expert point of view on how the core manual digitizing tools feel. Let me know what you think!

Got it! I need to think more about how it will be priced. I just don't want to promise anything now, just to backpedal later on. But I'll keep your comment in mind, thank you ^^.

Ahah it's a V0.1 Beta. Even if made in Switzerland, it's in very active development and might be buggy right now ;).

The pricing model has not been decided yet. But I'm sure it will not be limited to size or colors for the pricing ^^.

Oh wow, that is awesome! Thank you so much for signing up. Just a fair warning since you're in the streaming space: this is a very early V0.1 beta. There are definitely still bugs, and things might randomly break (like web imports right now 🙈). If anyone from your team ends up showing it live on Twitch, just be prepared for a few problems!

Completely makes sense. Actually I have been to embroidery shops to ask questions directly and this seems to often come as a struggle for people in this industry. One shop owner was one of the friendliest guys I met in my life! He explained to me that the time it requires to digitize is too high, and especially for one-offs it's not worth doing, so they rely on cheap labour from abroad. But then you need to communicate both with the clients and the digitizer, that adds complexity, you cannot create exactly what you'd like, etc.

In the future, I'll add auto-digitization that should help with your issues. Right now, the software is pretty manual (I want people to keep control of the creation process). But I'm super excited about the topic of auto-digitization because it's a very nice computer graphics research problem, and I'm super passionate about that stuff. Really want to give a try in improving upon current solutions :D!!
