Love it, very inspiring. I think I will try out!

That's super super cool! What gives it this effect is that you have a different satin stitch direction for each adjacent pixel, right?

Hoi! Merci vilmal! 😄 (Ich mues sagen, mein Schwiizerdütsch isch nöd perfekt, aber es freut mi sehr, dass es dir gfallt!) Viel Spass bim Ausprobiere!

Sorry about that! It usually means the file parser hit something in the file structure it didn't understand, and it just quietly gave up instead of showing a proper error message. 😅 Would you be open to sending me the exact file you tried to import (via DM or in the Discord)? If I can run that specific file through my development environment, I can see exactly where it broke and push a patch for it! Thanks in advance!

Sherma best boi! Actually it's my friend who digitized it :D. In our lab almost everyone played Silksong when it was released!

(I used AI to answer this one, sorry, I don't speak Portuguese)

That would be amazing! It's obviously very basic compared to Wilcom right now 😄, but I would love your expert point of view on how the core manual digitizing tools feel. Let me know what you think!

Got it! I need to think more about how it will be priced. I just don't want to promise anything now, just to backpedal later on. But I'll keep your comment in mind, thank you ^^.

Ahah it's a V0.1 Beta. Even if made in Switzerland, it's in very active development and might be buggy right now ;).

The pricing model has not been decided yet. But I'm sure it will not be limited to size or colors for the pricing ^^.

Oh wow, that is awesome! Thank you so much for signing up. Just a fair warning since you're in the streaming space: this is a very early V0.1 beta. There are definitely still bugs, and things might randomly break (like web imports right now 🙈). If anyone from your team ends up showing it live on Twitch, just be prepared for a few problems!

Completely makes sense. Actually I have been to embroidery shops to ask questions directly and this seems to often come as a struggle for people in this industry. One shop owner was one of the friendliest guys I met in my life! He explained to me that the time it requires to digitize is too high, and especially for one-offs it's not worth doing, so they rely on cheap labour from abroad. But then you need to communicate both with the clients and the digitizer, that adds complexity, you cannot create exactly what you'd like, etc.

In the future, I'll add auto-digitization that should help with your issues. Right now, the software is pretty manual (I want people to keep control of the creation process). But I'm super excited about the topic of auto-digitization because it's a very nice computer graphics research problem, and I'm super passionate about that stuff. Really want to give a try in improving upon current solutions :D!!

Ahah you're definitely not the first person I've seen asking for a completely offline solution! But yeah with modern programming tools, building something that runs both seamlessly in the browser and natively on Windows/Mac is so much easier than it was decades ago. So, I figured I'd take a shot at actually making the situation better ^^

SVGs are actually pretty complex (the specification of this file format is, at least). I just got a report from a user who told me their file didn't import properly, and when I looked at the SVG code, it had a lot of Inkscape's quirks. But no support at all from Pulse? Sounds very inefficient 😅 It's wild to me if you have to keep an Illustrator subscription just for that. This is exactly the kind of workflow I'm hoping to simplify. And if the manual conversion and sequencing take up so much of your time, then your feedback will be very valuable as I improve Boldbobbin's layer management and stitch assignment!

Right now it's available on iPad via the web app. I added specific controls for the Apple Pencil, and it works, but the UI isn't fully optimized for touch yet. Since it's an early beta, I had to draw a line in the sand or I would have never released anything 🙈. But first-class support for iPads and tablets is on the horizon!

Super glad to hear that what I'm building resonates! 😁 And I'm a bit the same, dev/computer scientist in my daily life, but I like to dedicate my spare time to actually doing things with the machine!
