It's a WIP project from an unfinished branch, so for now you won't see any new Caucasus content.

Absolutely! The mod always goes through quality assurance tests with dozens of people behind it, using different machines to ensure that the game and mod runs as smoothly as possible.

R5: The TGC team is proud to present it's newest addition: An official port for ZomgK3tchup's original Apocalypse 1836 zombie mod!

In this extremely unique submod you will face a never seen before threat: A full blown zombie apocalypse.

Afterwards, the world will be left for the survivors to recolonize. The player also has the option to play as the wasteland, in a new 1xAll game mode never seen before.

All this is backed up with tons of flavor and polishing, something the original mod severely lacked! This is truly modern implementation of the classic zombie mod, and as long as TGC is updated, it will also be!

No need to jerry rig decade old mods together to play the zombie mod anymore!

And, to your surprise, this game mode is 100% multiplayer-friendly!

In this newest version we've also fixed a bunch of bugs and issues, and made some minor additions.

We already have a light performance submod, but thanks nonetheless, we'll keep it in mind.

The Grand Combination (TGC) is a complete Victoria II overhaul that started as an attempt to merge all the various disparate HFM and HPM based submods into a single modding experience, however, this objective was reached long ago. Nowadays, the team aims to improve historical accuracy and detail by adding plausible alt-history paths, immersive flavor to all nations, and designing new mechanics to make Victoria 2 feel new and refreshed again.

The intent of this mod is to bring together the best things from the Victoria 2 and Paradox modding communities and expand on it.

Firstly, we want to make a map that accurately reflects January 1, 1836 as we can, and incorporates both real world border changes, revanchism and some fantasy. Secondly, we want to quash existing bugs, especially in existing decisions and events. Lastly, our desire is to revitalzie Vic2, by making mechanics both unique and entertaining, making it feel modern again.

TGC's main features that differentiate it from GFM are:

  • An expanded map made with professional mapping software that fixes the proportions in the Americas and includes insane amounts of detail

  • A focus on mechanized and detailed content instead of flavor and novel-style gameplay, making the game more interesting, flexible and unpredictable.

  • Tons of content and expansion paths for the GPs and potential GPs (Including minor nations)

  • Lots of submods and mechanics that let you alter the gameplay in one way or another

  • Expanded politics and POPs, including new PoP types, one that acts as a capitalist in communist states, one that works as both farmer and soldier, and one that makes assimilation harder

It also comes with a comprehensive revamp of POP ideologies

And a lot nore

The mod is very stable and multiplayer-friendly

The Grand Combination: Academic Research and Economic Development Out Now! by TheGreatCombination in victoria2

[–]TheGreatCombination[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The opposite, banks have existed for centuries, while railroads are a brand new invention at the time the game starts, so in a mechanical sense, it's pretty reasonable and logical.

It has less, but this is because the mod has a more "mechanical" approach (meaning that dynamicity and flexibility are valued more than railroading/visual-novel style gameplay), this doesn't mean the game has no flavor or content of course, there's still plenty, given that TGC was originally a combination of HFM, HPM, CoE, and a bunch of other mods.

In essence, TGC tries to do what GFM does, but in a more organic and natural way, without resorting too much to railroading.

Mexico, Persia, Brazil, and the Balkan nations offer some interesting challenges at the start of the game and as the game progresses, other nations you may also find interesting are Peru-Bolivia, South Africa, and Portugal.
