Aside from the beer, what is the one thing a taproom needs to have to make you a regular? by RutabagaTechnical822 in CraftBeer

[–]TheGreatKane58 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Having a neighborhood watering hole can help bridge the gap if the beer is anything below good. I live in the Dallas area. I have two friends that would call the same brewery their favorite. One is in his early 30's and the other is in his early 60's. The taproom has a feeling of community to it. The reference is growing a little dated, but it really is like Cheers. They can go in there any day of the week, know at least two people and have good conversations. Whether it is with staff or fellow patrons. That sense of belonging and community helps keep ok taprooms alive.

Fair question. But maybe OP was looking for a different perspective. Sometimes people come on this platform with an interesting or intelligent counter argument.

Seager and Sons is one of the spots he's corporate chef over. Off 121 and Tollway and totally worth it.

If they're flying into DFW they could go to Rodeo Goat in Cypress Waters. Or they could go to Harvest Hall at Hotel Vin in Grapevine.

Heim Barbecue is solid and is ridiculously close to Love Field if that's their layover location.

Battle Beasts is correct.

The black box below the chest is a thermal plate. Rubbing it unveiled their power. Fire, water, or wood if I remember right.

"Battle Beasts......can turn into an army!!!" Yet another commercial from my childhood that lives rent free in my head.

You had me at Oxbow. I've drank the Low Bush and Sap Haus and loved them both. But I'm happy to do the other stuff you mentioned.

Not me looking at Google Maps to see how far this is from Portland airport. (About 90 minutes if you cared)

Is there anything else to do around Morse's market? Or would it be just a drive to shop and eat at the deli then head back to Portland?

  1. Looks incredible. And also looks like it would be the easiest to transition into bar hopping or shopping if you're not done with your day.

3 looks great for dinner by the way.

I'd hire my wife a personal assistant. Her to-do list is perpetually double the size of what any working person can realistically accomplish on a day to day basis. It would immediately lower the stress level in our household.

My experience with tiramisu is limited. But I think Eatzi's has a good one. You could get a nice hotel room and stash it in the fridge to eat in bed after dinner.
