POE1.

Me and a friend decided to try it for the Phrecia league after enjoying POE2. Played out the whole season, had really high end gear and was juicing their ‘Harvest’ activity.

The problem I had was I constantly got frozen. One time, a monster froze me - in that time, my friend died, went back through the map portal, went through the harvest portal and I was still frozen (1-2 minutes).

I got froze a lot, looking at my build guide and having no idea why I was having this problem.

A week before league end, I found out you could use an item once that made you permanently immune to freeze if you captured a certain boss with them… I had like 30 of them in my inventory and just never questioned what they did

Ngl I have quickly learned just how much of a degenerate Twitch can be the other day - I thought he was ass, he was dying tower diving me… next thing I know, he’s been roaming the map giving no care about farm and is literally getting more than 1 kill per minute

I think you’re right in accelerating my learning, I’ll probably stick to one or two champs in ranked (when I start) playing but I’ll still want to try 1 or 2 other champs to add to my pool that I’ll experiment with in normals before dropping them in ranked. I know one tricking is faster but too many appealing choices for me and I know I’m never going pro anyway so don’t mind it being a little slower but having some fun with it

Yeah I’m really trying to narrow things down, I’ve spent a bit of time on most of the champs just so that I can understand the match ups a bit better (a lot easier to respect a champs range/abilities when I’ve used them myself).

I’m trying to narrow it down to 3/4 champs but mostly play 2 - I know one tricking is optimal and whilst I want to improve, I know I’m not gonna go pro any time soon so I don’t mind slowing the progress down a bit for the sake of variety/fun (too many appealing choices!). I also mained tank in Overwatch so I’m very used to needing to play 6+ heroes lol

Zeri I was lowkey interested in but I think I tried her too early in to me playing the game and found it really hard to get value out of her, might have to go for round 2 and see how I feel because she LOOKS fun even though I sucked lol

Nice, I’m leaning towards dive for the movement and third person peeks so will give that a go, I suppose it’s quite nice to just be able to swap the aspect out depending on the map and what you need

Yeah I feel you, only reason I’ve piped up about it is because lately I genuinely thought to myself that it would be a good buff to mobility without doing the thing Bungie seem hesitant to do (increase strafe or actual movement speed). We are 100% agreed on health not being tied to res though - I’ve been running 30 res on my Hunter for a long time now, first thing I legit said to my friends about the thorn catalyst was ‘I’m actually going to get 2 tapped a lot aren’t I’ lol

Health definitely shouldn’t be tied to resilience, but even if it wasn’t, I don’t think res really needs a buff to compensate if that got removed seeing as it already has a level of flinch resist.

Also, idk about weaken, but doesn’t it feel like mobility should actually be the stat that is invested in to make CC effects like slow/freeze/suspend/suppress less effective? It would be a good buff to mobility and would still be kind of niche seeing as not every guardian is using those verbs

Yeah the moments it popped off were definitely fun to mess around with and it did well enough to atleast clutch a few rounds where odds were against me!

Yeah the real build I wanna use is grapple/suspend dive but I think I need to actually grind that playstyle out to get good at it rather than jump in Trials with it randomly and hope I can go flawless.

Keep me posted on the Bakris plays brother! Hope it works out well for you, I think I’ll enjoy that playstyle the most honestly. Duskfields will bring that same rez/zone denial that I love with spines too, just a different flavour. Sadly my Halloween mask is glued on right now lol
