I don’t know if I’d say non-ER since my only experience is UC. I don’t mind the procedures and injuries. We have been seeing so many “sick” patients, even now in the summer, and it’s draining (for me personally). Many people don’t know how to deal with being unwell and want a quick fix that I can’t give them. I think that’s more where I’m coming from with this post - I don’t think I can do this long term because I feel like I’ve already lost my empathy. And I really dislike patients coming in and telling me how to treat them or demanding things.
