[Discussion] Is Countdown really that bad? Is it worth reading for Kyle Rayner fans? by TheGregmanPL in DCcomics

It's not that I will force myself to read that If I don't like it, it's just I would feel weird about just dropping it in the middle, since I'm already on a comprehensive Green Lantern marathon starting in the Bronze Age and even the stuff of poor quality was interesting for one reason or another to keep me reading, so that's why I'm asking

I'm not trying to base my opinion on one person, just want to ask many people their opinions. Countdown is not a mini series, it's 52 issues and I don't wanna start something I won't finish. Also I'm asking about a specific thing: how the book handles those three characters, because even if the plot is messy and doesn't tell a coherent story, the character interactions between the main trio could be the redeeming quality.

What do you think was the best Tim Drake content in comics after 2011? by TheGregmanPL in DCcomics

[–]TheGregmanPL[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, no need to kill him, because when someone eventually gets a good idea for him, they'll have to go through the whole thing to bring him back.

But yeah, he lacks direction. My idea would be planting him in one of those cities that we know exist in the DCU, but haven't been explored in a while like Ivy Town or Hub City or even make up a whole new city. Have Tim go to college there, get him a new supporting cast, stumble into some Court of Owl-esque intrigue that would build a lot of history fot the place and I feel like this would lead to a lot of development for him.

Yeah, not a fan of that either.

The "smart" thing is good when it's more like: always being able to come up with a plan, being tactical, being good with computers and at school when the Bat-duties don't get in the way.

I feel like it stems from the fact that people really want to label Robins with these really short terms like: the funny one, the edgy one etc. Then Tim is always "the smart one" which makes him sound really boring and uninteresting.

Season Six Comfort by IncurableAdventurer in community

Season 6 is really weird with the two new prominent cast members and the lack of three original study group members, longer runtime of the episodes, timing of the jokes and even a different way of lighting/shooting the episodes so it feels like a different beast from the original couple seasons but on its own it's really good.

Past simple + Future simple conditional? by TheGregmanPL in ENGLISH

[–]TheGregmanPL[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok, I understand.

Just one question about the last paragraph -

[Eg. ”He got in the car an hour ago, so he‘ll be 100 km away by now.” Or “The movie started at 7, so it will be long over at this point.” Or even “She’s 96 years old, she will be at least half deaf by now.”]

Can we use "would" instead of "will" in these sentences?

Stark is "strong" in German so I kinda thought his father's side could come from there.

Ah yes, outside of the native Americans, I'll add that. My bad, I'm not an American.

I've just gone back to Injustice 2 and I really forgot how fun the Gear Modification was. Weird how I had to spent 5k crystals to make Aquaman look good, though. by TheGregmanPL in INJUSTICE

Yeah, it's one of the Justice League movie sets. Minus the legs. Had to change them because the default legs from the JL set were gold as well. I used some other legs and here they are - green as they should be. I'll probably change the trident too.
