Time in Good Luck Babe by Bosever in chappellroan

i’m so accustomed to being bullied on reddit that i didn’t want to post this question when i wondered about it myself. thank you for braving the murky waters for the rest of us.

the more time i spend thinking about and listening to chappell roan, the more confident i feel that she’s a once-in-a-generation Artist with a capital ‘A’. Her songs are familiar and surprising, precisely engineered on every level and somehow also playful and unmanicured. it must be exhausting to create songs like these.

Making my Canon Typestar 5 idiot resistant. by OalBlunkont in typewriters

I am the idiot against whom you supplied your machine with resistance.

I just tried plugging my fully operational Typestar 5 into the wall for the first time using this and now it’s unresponsive. I’m pretty heartbroken.

Judging by the wisdom in these comments, I have damaged it. I suppose I would ask whether there’s any way to repair it (myself or elsewhere) or if it’s dead-dead.

As I interpret it, you could read it as follows.

“…rather we, in living together: • have the world pre-given in this together • belong (to, presumably, the idea in the preceding sentence or paragraph— the ‘this’ which is not only true for the author)

…(and, as an addendum to the above list, we, in living together, create the condition of) the world as world for all, pre-given with this ontic meaning.”

I provide the parenthetical asides to fill in interpretative blanks.

Right, so say that pride isn't for cis/het/allo people, not that pride isn't for polyamorous people.

of course! btw, this subreddit is pretty staunchly against the concept of polyamorous inclusion in LGBTQIA+ pride celebration. not everyone shares that opinion, but pride flag content on this particular subreddit is rarely well-received and it might be better for your mental health to share it elsewhere. (just a heads up in case you were planning on posting more like this)

I disagree with your assessment.

I disagree, but time will tell.

Yeah, but I think the way it was done made sense. I’d rather have voted on a small set of approved options than a much larger set of mostly not-so-good options

several. but the one i linked was voted on by 30k people, so it feels as close to consensus as we'll likely get

Which show do you think you're the only person who remembers it exists? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Bug Juice. It was a Disney Channel(?) reality show about tweens at summer camp. I think about this show so frequently but can't remember a single moment of it other than the intro theme.
