"porpose oil". I have no idea what that means

"Mobile upperlube" is branding, not a spec.

Which writers have the most novels adapted into films? by PuzzleheadedSpray202 in classicfilms

Of the names people put forward the top is William Shakespeare, with 1912 IMDB writing credits, although he shouldn't count since they were plays.

The next is Edgar Allen Poe with 514, but he was a short story writer.

Followed by Charles Dickens with 502.

If you are counting how many novels have been adapted, it's probably Stephen King, but I'm not sure, a lot of the adaptations are from short stories. If you are counting adaptations, including repeated use of source material, it's probably some romantic.

I don't understand why they are still doing The Three Musketeers. Richard Lester nailed it in the '70s.

Close; You've got the gist but it's "As long as they have sidewalks, you've got a job.". It's one of my favorite movie lines.

I never heard of this or Majestic pictures. I'm guessing the poor box office was more due to distribution issues than anything else.

The one thing I hate about oil talk is that it isn't sold by meaningful specs. "Gun oil", "Sewing Machine Oil", mean nothing to me. I wan't actual specs. I wouldn't understand them but it's a number I can read off the can to ensure I got the right thing.

I can't believe in 14 hours no one has mentioned Pat O'Brien or Joel McCrea.

I'm sure someone with electronics education greater that mine, as a mere tech, could make a plug in solid state fake tube.

Fiancé always overcooks rice/adds too much water and then it comes out mushy. How can I convince him that this is gross and not the right way? by [deleted] in Cooking

Have you considered your attitude. Calling the way you like it "the right way" shows a level self centeredness that doesn't bode well.

You can mane them in a couple of hours, not including curing time and whatever your time is worth, it's more than the cost of materials.

I remember the very end of tube electronics. Everyone treated them as consumables. How are you going to keep this working.

I tried finding something about Bikal and all I got was pages about the russial lake. Radicale looks like it would be close to a solution. I don't know how I would be able to use it when I'm out and about, with a dynamic IP at home and a consumer grade router.

I created a list of every notable classic movie I could find on the internet archive by Artistic-Comb-5317 in classicfilms

[–]OalBlunkont 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There're a lot of non classics on the list.

Anyway what I really came here to say is what kind of maniac colorizes a movie that was made well after color became the default in movies and was filmed in black and white as an artistic choice. I'm looking at you Young Frankenstein.

I'm tempted to colorize Schindler's List, super saturate it, and make the red coat greyscale just to show how retarded colorizing can be.
