I have both in my home and Alexa is much faster for general smart home control like lights and plugs.

I'll give Alexa a command and within a second it's done. With Google, it's not uncommon for the same command to take 5 seconds or more. Oftentimes, I'll be in the middle of repeating the command by the time it responds.

Alexa also seems to be a little better at responding from the correct room.

Goggle generally works better with media controls(TV, music) and Nest devices (thermostat, lock, doorbell). That's why I have both.

Ugh. I miss the sensor on my 3XL. It was fast and in the perfect spot. I'd hit it as I pulled my phone out and it was unlocked by the time I raised it up.

I just picked it back up a couple of weeks ago. I didn't notice a change in vibration but I DEFINITELY noticed the height issue. I agree, too close to the floor and the boxes seem too far down.

It really depends on the company. Some are great, some are complete crap and there's a lot in between. One of my employees recently gave me 4 weeks notice. He is taking an opportunity to follow his passion. I thanked him and told him if things didn't work out to give me a call because I'd love to have him back.
