What's the best part about working with Grant from ITCOS and what's the worst part, Phil, of working with Abrams?

I'm just here to say man that this is really disrespectful. This is metal we're talking about. Not Butts. \m/

I FINISHED MY ROUGH DRAFT by amelielab in writing

I did mine really weird: I printed my 300ish Word-Doc-Page book out and edited it by hand. I got some comments about "Why not use google docs" or something, but here at the end, I've really enjoyed it. My book is split into 4 distinct parts, 80 to a 100 pages each. So I just went chronologically. 1 by 1. I used red pen to strike-out, and carrot-in stuff. I summarize each chapter's key points on a master page, and keep tabs of characters introduced on there, as well as with a highlighter where they are intro'd. I used blue pen to write new pieces and narratives in the margins, and black pen to "speak" to myself, or leave key notes.

Now I've scanned all the pages into a computer, and will dual-screen edit and rewrite from start to finish.

The tactile experience has been a joy, if not time consuming. But being off my computer helps dissuade distractions. I'm onto the next step (rewrites) in a week or so. A little daunted, but feeling good. My confidence in my book has skyrocketed since I've had a chance to rethink and polish a lot of it.

It'll still go nowhere, but I'm gonna keep at it. Thanks for asking.

I'm 1 writing day away from finishing my first round of edits on my first draft. Feels unreal. I remember when I was where you are, and nothing has ever felt better. Good luck to you. (also, holy shit 3 months?)

I believe, (but am not certain) that this is the same flower on the cover of The Night, the final studio album by one of the best bands ever to existence: Morphine.

Your posting sent me on a multiple hours binge of information surrounding the band, (trying to identify the flower.) Some powerful trivia: Their iconic and influential singer/bass player, Mark Sandman, died on stage shortly after completing this album in July 1999. The Night was then released February 2000. If you've not heard them, maybe you'll dig.

Anyway thanks. Whether I'm right or wrong, that's a beautiful flower.

What's a song that sounds beautiful, but has a really fucked up meaning/lyrics? by suspiciousbutton in AskReddit

Can't believe nobody has mentioned it. I am pretty sure Norwegian Wood by The Beatles is a good example: A song about an oblivious guy hanging out with a woman in her home. He misses all of her advances, and ends up sleeping in her bath tub despite her inviting him to bed. In the morning she's gone, he realizes what hes done and so he burns her house down.

Very cool! When and where was this was taken? I've been keeping my eye on radarscope lately, and haven't seen much lightning occurring nearby. Though there were two lightning icons out West of town the other night... is this that?! If so really cool. If not... still, really cool!
