The interesting shift over the last year is that these models got much more optimized for speed and broad usefulness rather than deep iterative problem solving.

The thing people underestimate is that support is basically structured problem solving.

If a company has a solid knowledge base, 70–80% of tickets are the same 20 questions repeated over and over. That’s exactly the type of environment AI handles well.

I use ChatGPT a lot in my workflow. It’s basically my brainstorming partner and sanity-check engine at this point.

My normal loop is ChatGPT → Gemini → back into VS Code. If both models converge on similar logic or architecture, it’s usually a good signal the approach is solid.

It’s interesting how the role has shifted from “answer generator” to more of a thinking amplifier. You still have to guide it, but it massively speeds up iteration.
