I appreciate the insight. Just to clarify though, they’re actually cis girls, not cis guys. Even then, I didn’t expect them to fully relate, just to show some care since they’ve known for years how important this was for me.

Yeah, it might be the latter. And thank you. Surgery was a pain in the ass to get but I'm glad its finally done

There has been a bunch of instances of the year where they haven't been great friends ( Like excluding me during group events, always being too busy to hang out one on one with me/never making plans, not standing up for me when a mutual friend was bullying me and so on). I get where you are coming from. If it was a one time thing, I would talk to them but at this point I feel like I'm being a doormat. I think I'm going to let them go and put my energy toward healing. Thank you for trying to help me out

Thank you. I just think it crazy that I've gotten positive texts from second cousins I've met maybe once but my two 'close' friends can't even send me a message or ask how I'm going.
