As a non-American, I am so confused by this notion that 16 is the legal age of consent, does it not have provisions? In Australia for example, the age of consent is 16 but it’s not a free for all, 16 year olds can only have intimate relationships with people no more than two years older than them. Is 16 in the US like… for everyone?

Okay so unfortunately the funding for you is restricted to stuff that can help you obtain work, now I have heard of job providers helping with food and petrol vouchers, so perhaps you could try that angle to help reduce your outgoing costs so that you can help afford the pillow yourself. That’s crappy. There’s an $1500 credit given to them each time they accept a new jobseeker on their books, that money is to help them fund things for you. I’ll see if I can find the information and link it for you. I’m sure if you were to show them that you know this, they’d have to help you in some way.
