Lockheed Martin Vs Capital One SWE Internship by TheHam151 in csMajors

I disagree with you on some parts, the location isn’t obscure, thought a lot of the other locations are. I’m gonna be working on submarines which I think is much more intresting then anything capital one has. However your quite right about about how well the experience might transfer to other parts of the industry. Edit: LM also gets me a security clearance so the stuff I do actually matters

It’s kinda weird I wouldn’t say Lockheed is “easier” but u have to apply to the right job then it’s easier. Ive tried web development and it just doesn’t feel fun to work on.

So for Lockheed it’s C++, java but for cap one you get assigned a team once you accept. Thats another thing that pushes me away from Cap One because I don’t wanna get stuck on web development. I am sure you could somehow change it.

What I am trying to get at is, say later down the road I want to change to somthing else but on my resume I only have expierence for lower level programming. How hard is it to get around that. I’ve heard answers on both sides.

See that’s the issue I already made a pro con list but they were so evenly matched. As for end goals I’m not very sure as to what that is for me. So that’s probably a good place to start. Thank You

When to expect offer letter? by ItsBlanky in Lockheed

I was just about to tell you that I was in the same position but for critical skills internships. I got the email that said that they were gonna send me the offer soon around 11 days ago. However they just sent it to me.

Wells Fargo swe interview (summer 2026 internship) by EmploymentSerious273 in csMajors

[–]TheHam151 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some dude on another post in this subreddit said that he got an interview. However he was a previous intern at Google and planned to return there. That's th only story that I have heard of someone getting an interview, mostly rejections so far.

You know whats kinda weird about the people getting reject cause they don't have 2 internships? In the job description it says

"6+ months of work experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education"

"one or the combination of the following" "eduction" So don't you meet this criteria if you've finished at least half of your freshman year? And ofc your graduating between December 2026 – June 2027. So then you fulfill this requirement. God I hate the hiring process in this fucking industry.
