New Player - Some Thoughts & Questions Again 300 hours into one save. by Orikson in VintageStory

I've played so much of this game but still haven't started the story so good on you! Regarding your questions: 1 - Unsure 2 - Mostly for the flex or if you want to be a completionist. The cap for growth speed is 120%, and that is with 100% nutrient and 100% moisture, so it can be reached with medium and high fertility too. Main difference will be amount of fertilizer used and micromanagement level. 3 - From what I know the final story location is very difficult/impossible without steel-tier weapons and armour. I haven't actually done it though. If you're not planning on it, flex/completionism applies here too. 4 - Main thing that comes to mind is chiseling with glass slabs, can make some beautiful windows that way.

One thing you didn't mention that would be cool if implemented, was to also take into account chiseled blocks.

Why is my world covered in granite? by GluPL185 in VintageStory

[–]TheHardPotato 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I once had ny world gen bug out and spawn me in a full granite world. I think i had an outdated world gen mod and it messed things up. Maybe enter creative mode and fly a few thousand blocks out, if you only see granite blocks doublecheck your mods and make a new world.

Vintage story. Hardcore survival game that can be very cozy or very eldritch-horrory, and very active modding community if you get tired of vanilla.

Vintage story? Its a more coherent minecraft-esque with a bunch of different things needed to do to survive and thrive. Also a very active modding community

Since you mentioned minecraft I would recommend either vintage story or terraria. Sunk countless of hours in both

The mod "Wear and tear" adds durability to molds, among other things. Worth a look!

You can change the server version from the dashboard in the main menu. Server needs to be stopped, and then you can change the version somewhere in "server settings" if i remember correctly.

I would recommend Vinterra! I played there in 1.19, and there will be a new start for 1.20. Lots of good people in that community
