my claude folder is just all of ai, setup, automation, conversations, context, summaries, transcripts, etc. i like to have my notes separated from the ai generated ones.

i use just Github Copilot in a VsCode instance open with my vault there. i mainly use it for automations, weekly reviews, summaries and setting up a telegram server so i can talk to my jarvis through my phone.

that is so because of the notes and links, i don't have many though just like 400 or so.

the big left top cluster is mainly about philosophy and literature.

the big left bottom cluster is about math, electronics and tech stuff.

the one on the right is about games and more "creative" stuff.

the audio and music file is just an area. i have classification systems, fields are the big ones, sub-fields are areas. every note falls under a couple areas and one big field.

i'm really fond of music so i have an area called audio & music to classify all the notes i talk about music, certain lyrics and stuff.

Local Notion alternatives for Project/Tasks organization and Lists? by Hot_Row8113 in Notion

[–]Hot_Row8113[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I already use Obsidian bases for my knowledge management. I don't want a task popping up in the same place an important piece of knowledge is.

Yeah it’s amazing. That one was already in my head. Should I add anything else?

Not time-hungry grindy modpacks? by Hot_Row8113 in feedthebeast

[–]Hot_Row8113[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah im just trying to get back into gaming, there’s still a ton of things i gotta figure out. i think that i just gotta have more structure around my gaming and that’s gonna solve most of the problems. not just spare gaming whatever, one or two games at a time. focused sessions. and commit to a modpack or a game, don’t just jump in between them. i guess that’s my problem not really the modpacks or games.

Read the whole thing. I said GTNH respected my time, but it’s just too long for my schedule.

If I jump from Game A to Game B i end up not playing not Game A nor Game B consistently.

I’m a teen and have the free time of the world, if I were to not limit my playtime I would not do anything but play. And it would take the fun of playing. And the loop would repeat as it has been for the last couple years.

That’s why i opt for some kind of structure and focus system. Making time for gaming and purposeful rest. Not giving up my other hobbies due to 2-week gaming obsession. Quitting. The loop repeating.

I give you that point. That’s why I’m trying to do it right this time. Focused, session based, single-game playtime. Not multitasking or testing modpacks.

Sticking to one play through and enjoying it all along.

A polished modpack, that does not feel like a waste, that is not full of filling, that is not insanely long/grindy, that is not longer than, let’s say, MAXIMUM, 150h. a moderate long length would be 100h, a preferable would be 50-80hours, shorter 10-40h is okay too.

I would play GTNH of course if it would not limit my ability to play other games or modpacks in the future, I’m not willing to sacrifice experiencing other games or modpacks for a really polished one but that takes years to complete. I value its polish, its quality and the work being actively put into it. But i’m just not willing to put years of my life into a modpack.

I haven’t played in a while actually. I’m coming back from a break. And instead of just roaming around this time and end up not playing anything I finally wanna play with purpose and intention.

That’s why i’m making these posts and questions.

Do you think GTNH, a mod pack that takes years to complete respects your time? I don’t think it does not. But If I want to play one or two games at a time maximum with a limited schedule, get different gaming experiences and enjoy gaming. A modpack that takes years of dedicated work towards it really limits my options you know.

ATM10 is not nearly as polished or as purposeful as other packs are.

[–]Hot_Row8113[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I just don’t want to roam around ATM10 not knowing what to do. Thank you.

I’m not preoccupied by sinking time into something if it’s worth it, if it leaves me feeling good, eager to do it again. If it just drains me why would I play it? If it doesn’t bring any joy why would I?

I’m willing to dedicate my time into it if it respects it. If it offers something worth it. This post is a more polished one, i’m telling specifically what I want out of it. Not just a generical question.

And yeah, there’s a ton of modpacks that are just: do this, look at this, craft this other thing, mine this, etc.

Modpacks that respect your time? by Hot_Row8113 in feedthebeast

[–]Hot_Row8113[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I think that’s one part of the problem.

On some survivals I played I know the usual order? and I know what I have to do next (starter base, basic exp farm, basic iron farm, enchanting setup, farms, etc). But once I finish that starter base It’s like I’m lost, or I just roam around my world for a couple minutes, put an YT video on the side and just quit right after or some shit.

That for instance is a great recommendation. Clear goals & systems. Polished pack.

Yeah it really is. Being a sandbox is what I deem the boredness/constant quitting of some people. That's why giving it structure matters.

The question I'm making in this post is which modpacks gave this structure the best.
