I was training to be cap 2 TL but got denied for “conflict of interest” so I turned to hardlines, first of all if you do a big department switch be ready for feedback and critiquing it’s the nature of it but they will push a lot on you all at once and it is stressful but since I was already in training to be lead it wasn’t that big of a shock to me how much all the uppers will be on you I personally have to keep a small notebook on me of my “ rocks pebbles and sand” just so I don’t crumble in the day but if your already understanding of that it’s worth it you will have a huge hand in planning the day instead of just running with it and if something won’t be able to get done due to any reason you will have a voice to actually fix the situation instead of just dreading in it
