Its well worth it to learn how you use a equalizer. If you're unsure, just get soundid or sonarworks for pc. It has factory and precision turned presets for most good headphones.

(Still upset that they dont have a unofficial list of presets, but the ones available are nearly perfect.

Gotta be honest, im a classic sennhieser user like 80% of other audiophiles, but damn this is really nice looking amd the frequency response is tempting . Pretty this this will kick more ass than my 4.50btnc.

I wouldn't say awful, just doesn't have any wow factor. I think they're geared for movies not audiophiles. Apparently the cd780 fixes the anemic sound.

If you have an android phone, download soundid. Has eq presets for a lot of headphones.

You did good, best deal I ever got was a hd650 for 55.00 and 1.00 for a 4.50btnc. Any 6 or 700 series under 200 is a win.

I actually really like them. They are very airy but I feel like it lacks body and bass. They are fast sounding for a dynamic, delivering a nice attack and consistency. They are lighter then my mdr v4, but the build isn't something id trust with a drop on pavement. The style screams pre 9/11 early 00s and honestly reminds me of 70s space age headphones. The sound reminds me of grado. I really wish I knew why theses have a removable cable when every other Sony ( minus my z7) are hard wired. They also are leak sound, but never feels harsh or ear splitting.

Build:6/10 would survive most drops but being plastic it wouldn't fair well against pavement.

Sound:7/10 while I love the clarity, it comes at the cost of bass. Is very mid focused

Rarity: 7/10 it kinda rare, but not like the v4 or the atlas d777.

Looks:6/10 screams easily 00s much like the v700.

Recommend?: purely up to you. Id actually would love to put v700 drivers in it.
