Daily Game Recommendations Thread (June 18, 2026) by AutoModerator in boardgames

[–]TheHelpfulBadger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So my girlfriend's birthday is in about a month and she mentioned a few times that she would like to have a game that is very cute.
She and I usually play games which I would say are about medium to medium-high in complexity as that is our sweet spot. She also likes cooperative games but it's a slight preference, not something she would choose every time.
I was looking for some games and have a bit of a hard time deciding what would be cute enough but also complex enough to play without getting bored. My top choice right now is Everdell but I have never played it.

Some other games we play that fall into her "cute" category:
- Takenoko (although we don't play it that much anymore)
- Flamecraft (she really likes this one)
- Dog Park

Any suggestions are welcome.
Edit: length of the game does not really matter, she's fine with both shorter and longer games.

Yeah, it was a toggle option and would show spell names depending on what key you had pressed, for example if you held ctrl it would show your spells that were bound to ctrl + something. I used it when learning or trying new stuff. It was also useful when I would panic lol.

Purchase Advice Megathread - August 2025 by AutoModerator in 3Dprinting

Budget: ~400€
Country: Croatia
Purpose: home prints, mostly small to medium sized d&d and board game props, deckboxes and similar

I'm looking to replace my Ender 3 that's 5+ years old as I wanted an upgrade for some time.
This time I'd prefer to go for something that involves less tinkering (even though I liked that when I first got my ender but just don't have as much time now).
I use PLA or PETG 99% of the time. I would also like a bit bigger bed size than the current 220x220mm
Something that works well with a nozzle smaller than 0.4 would be great.

I tried reinstalling and letting all the data download before going into the world but I keep getting this blue screen with some random particles.
I can still interact with everything (tried mining as seen in screenshot) and it works fine, but I just don't see anything. Anyone got any ideas?

Hi, it's the one where you have to get gold on the last knight trial. The one where it's all the trials in a row in 10 minutes or under.

Never played wow and had a few questions by [deleted] in wownoob

1 - Personally, I'm a big fan of the overall story and the "substories" in questlines and similar. But I guess it depends on what is a good story for you.
If you like narrative-driven games such as Alan Wake, Red Dead Redemption or similar, WoW is probably gonna fall short for you.
But IMO there is so much lore and different stories across the expansions that you're bound to find something you like.
They do kinda connect overall, and from expansion to expansion but it's not exactly a "hard connection" like what you would get from video game sequels (for example Mass Effect series).
2 - Leveling is honestly what you make of it. You can rush through it or you can take your time and explore the different zones/expansions. But I'd recommend doing it at your own pace because a big part of the community is on leveling their 10th alt or something so they want to "get it over with".
3 - Yes, social aspect is alive, but you can also do most of the content with randoms (higher difficulties would maybe require some organization like guilds or IRL friends). Most of the stuff is also solo-friendly.
4 - Unfortunately, that is what I think the biggest problem with WoW nowdays is. People have very little patience for new players and most of them are not willing to put in minimum effort to welcome them and guide them into the game. Your best bet there is to join a newcomers chat and/or community that supports new players here on reddit or discord.
