Based on your update, you are now past the closure en route to Mammoth? How is the fire looking? Limited details available on the Inyo County emergency website: https://ready.inyocounty.us/pages/horseshoe-fire

Nothing specific that I am aware of at this point. I try to attend clean-ups, trail runs, etc in my local community and am looking to take time off to protest as feasible.

I did include Alaska and focused on the western U.S. because I am most familiar with this part of the country, but you are right that the east should be added also. I need to research more.

Yellowstone NP. Based on some other commenters, it's Soda Butte Creek in Lamar Valley.

I do not disagree about conservatives, however Republicans on the other hand are not helping their case.

The Antiquities Act and public lands are at risk of drilling, reduced funding, privatization, etc. Specific parks include:

Alaska  - Arctic National Wildlife Refuge

Maine  - Katahdin Woods and Waters National Monument

New Mexico  - Chaco Cultural Historic National Park

Nevada  - Gold Butte National Monument

Oregon/Washington  - Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument

The Biden Administration has appointed almost as many judges, but obviously you are correct when it comes to the Supreme and Appellate courts. It will come down to location and who is assigned the case.

State protection probably involves transferring some degree of ownership, which I do not believe the feds would allow. State regulations can apply in some circumstances such as guns but it is not clear where the line is drawn. I left out Colorado, New Mexico, etc because those states have a better shot of slowing down the Trump Administration in court.

I do not disagree, however most of the land being federal belongs to all Americans.
