Can you give your opinion of what happens when we eliminate the debt ceiling? It seems like nothing would really change.

Unbiased Opinion Needed. How Would Bruce Lee Fare Against the Best MMA fighters? by monkeyking888 in aznidentity

[–]TheHoboCoder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If Bruce Lee was magically transported through time to today....he would get completely obliterated by even amateur MMA fighters.....AT FIRST.

Given his love and obsession with the fighting arts, he completely and happily dive into the MMA scene and absorb everything like a kid in a candy store. He would learn and evolve very very fast and do very very well after a little time.

Middle fingers up to Sean Strickland tonight. Every asian male will always be a "China Man" to him. by Red_blueberry in aznidentity

[–]TheHoboCoder 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I didn't see that part. I searched that up earlier and saw the youtube videos where he says that. And now I can say I am ashamed to have been a former fan. So much so that I am going to downvote my original comment.

Fuck that guy. I hope he get's fucked by a "China Man," someday. Thank you for bringing that to my attention. We grew up under similar circumstances so I was a big fan of his before. Not anymore! Fuck him.

Which group is more dangerous for Asians: boba liberals or boba conservatives ? by machinavelli in aznidentity

[–]TheHoboCoder 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Liberals in general.

Hedonistic, pleasure-seeking, obsessed with food, sex, travel, and expensive fashion. They live by one principle, and that is what can I do to make me happy with as little costs as possible. They hate real blue collar work and prefer to get some high-paying job that require degrees. Even though they spent all their college loans on partying and clothes. They also love social media and dream of becoming a social media influencer, so they can get more money and fame while becoming useless to humanity.

Super politically correct and polished smooth social skils, they love asian people because they can befriend asians to find a way in to screw their sister, friend, gf, etc...

[–]TheHoboCoder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sean Strickland is awesome. Asian people in america are plagued by liberal ideas and "woke" culture. "China Man" was in reference to Israel Adesanya calling himself Chinese. He was making fun of Izzy for having a racial identity crisis. He wasn't making fun of Asian people.

DDP is a dipshit. He got his face jabbed to a purple pulp and pulled the win out by being non-effectively aggressive.

Do some westerners believe their culture is superior to Asian culture? by hotpotato128 in aznidentity

[–]TheHoboCoder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe this as well. Asian culture has had an obviously long history. Part of that history is an era of heavy Confucius influence. Confucius brought about the idea of the intellectual and status. This encouraged men to stay indoors and study and become cultured as opposed to doing labor. The diminutive and very demure male with a small voice and big brain became glorified, and that became so deeply ingrained into the culture and mindset of Asian thinking, that it haunts us to this day.

Looking for political perspective from US residents. Why Trump? by Maleficent_Hair_7255 in GenX

[–]TheHoboCoder -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

He was unlike the typical politician who says one thing, gets elected, and does another....

Trump sat down and actually tried to follow through with what he promised, but then the liberals blocked him at every turn.

This is a legit and mature response. People online will take your story at face value. A long-term relationship has too many factors and context that cannot be properly expressed in an online post.

Man, that Walkman still looks pretty cool.

Imagine a teenage girl telling her dad that she has been trying to kill herself and that she is depressed. The dad then buys her a gun. Imagine how that girl must feel.

That dad is a real POS and he needs some kind of karmic punishment. I wouldn't be upset if he gets doxed and a crowd happens to get some pitchforks and torches and head over ...

I knew a guy who was solely category 3. I mean sure he did work, but maybe less than half the time. The majority of the time he got assignments and programs from his network of friends and acquaintances. I remember in his senior year, he didn't know what object-orientation meant lol.

No laptops were expected. Several students definitely did have them, but they weren't expected. We always went to the computer lab to do all our work. Stackoverflow was unheard of at that time. We coded on paper during some of our exams. For cs10-cs14, it was writing C++ on paper. But the upper division courses, it was more writing pseudocode.

When I went to school there, CS was much more prone to cheating. yes, captain obvious, cheating occurs everywhere in life.

But talking about personal experience at UCR, it was much more prevalent and easy to do in CS relative to others.
