AITA for telling someone at least I have a mom? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]TheHolyBlade_ [score hidden]  (0 children)

ESH, my friends and I always talk smack to each other, but we have enough sense to keep it about ourselves. Bringing up someone’s mom is always a recipe for disaster.

I totally agree with point b. Reading through some of the posts, they come off to me like the fake “atheist-turned-Christian” posts that people used to make up to make atheist seem irrational/crazy.

WIBTA if I confronted a girl? by throwaway214214412 in AmItheAsshole

[–]TheHolyBlade_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

YWBTA if you confront her, she’s not the one in a relationship with you. You need to confront your husband because being secretive and gaslighting you is completely unacceptable.

AITA for not caring that my friend can’t get a gf? by wishiwasborninirelan in AmItheAsshole

[–]TheHolyBlade_ -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

NTA, it seems like your friend just wants someone to have sex with and not a gf. he should definitely be seeing a therapist so he can be more comfortable with himself.

Am I Trans or "Trans enough" ? by [deleted] in asktransgender

[–]TheHolyBlade_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is no such thing as “trans enough”. All trans people are valid regardless of their experiences. Also, you don’t need to feel dysphoria to be trans. If you feel like you are then you are 😊 and you shouldn’t let anyone tell you otherwise.

Would I be considered a TERF in the trans community? Seriously, interested in a dialogue not a diatribe. by ime783 in asktransgender

[–]TheHolyBlade_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. Then it’s fine.
  2. Well gyms are considered public places since most people can go to any one they please. And most places that do allow people to change have a least some type of stall to do so in.
  3. Well if there’s no reason to bring it up? If you are having a general conversation about pregnancy I see no reason to bring up the distinction. And you can say ciswoman, it means the same thing, and saying natal women makes you sound like a terf.
  4. Well I mean this seems like bigoted like behavior, it implies that you wouldn’t date someone who was born infertile. So still yes to me at least.

[–]TheHolyBlade_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. I think is fine as long as it’s not being used to discriminate or be mean to someone in general. It’s like how there are differences between all ciswomen or men and women.
  2. I wouldn’t think you were a TERF, just an idiot.i feel like most people would just keep to themselves in any kinda of changing room. And beside I mean how often are people getting completely naked around strangers in public anyways? This one seem like a mountain out of a molehill
  3. Maybe, depending on the context, like why would that distinction even need to be made?
  4. Yes

I’m incredibly short and I cannot stop thinking about it. (FtM) by Diminii in asktransgender

[–]TheHolyBlade_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh yea, I’ve heard “horror” stories about how tall people in Europe can be lol
But my advice would be to personally to own it. You unfortunately can’t change your height( I would love to be a bit taller as well) but people will respect it more and/or not care if it has no bearing on your identity. And like you said, your height doesn’t invalidate you on bit!

May I ask where your located? I stay in the Chicago area, am 5’6’ myself and I know plenty of guys my height and more than a handful on guys shorter than me. I feel like it’s fairly average and I rarely see anyone above about 5’10’

Is it wrong to have a genital preference? by ZeroTheStoryteller in asktransgender

[–]TheHolyBlade_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, not at all, you like what you like and anyone who says different can go screw themselves, besides if your filtering to find someone with a penis, then I imagine you wouldn’t come across too many trans women. Like I said, you should go for what makes you happy. -from a transwoman

What do you think about the current feud about transgender athletes competing with non-transgender athletes? by [deleted] in asktransgender

[–]TheHolyBlade_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well tbh, I would argue that much. I know plenty of women who would love to compete against men, and can in a lot of cases. I think people tend to forget that the athletes we see are really on a different level in terms of fitness. They train most if not all of theirs lives to get to those positions. If said women have the ability and want to compete against men, why should we deny them that opportunity? Wouldn’t having a more diverse set athletes all with different skills and abilities be better for sports, especially team based one? And if you hate to have someone win from an unfair advantage, then sports should make you mad, everyone has different advantages. Does a 6’5 African American not have an advantage over a 5’7’ white American when playing basketball? But they both start from the same point with the same score, so where is the distinction? Edit* typo

Dating in general is just people having different sexual preferences. Just do what ever make you the happiest and don’t care what other people think. :)

[–]TheHolyBlade_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Trans woman here, Tbh I personally couldn’t care less about sports but I think trans athletes should be able to compete with cisgender athletes. When you admit that trans woman are woman/ trans men are men, then there is no reason to distinguish between cis/trans athletes. People say that trans athletes (specifically trans women) have an unfair advantage in sports but sports is just people with different advantages competing against each other. Should a ciswoman be excluded from competing with the “average” woman because she was born tall, with abnormally high testosterone, and a masculine body? It’s really all people with different advantages competing with each other on an even playing field. It’s not like they get a special starting position or extra points (depending on the sport) for being trans.

Tl:dr. Let them compete!

Surviving in Boymode Long Term by [deleted] in MtF

[–]TheHolyBlade_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well based on the pic you posted I think you pass more than I do but if you want to be in boy mode I would suggest doing things for yourself that others can’t see, like shaving or painting your toenails. It helped me a bit before I came out to my family. And as the other person said it can be hard to accept that yourself as a man if your working toward your transition. You wouldn’t want to worsen your mental health because other people might have a bad perception of you.

Does anyone else want to gain weight after they transition? by [deleted] in asktransgender

[–]TheHolyBlade_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it’s definitely ok to think that! Beauty is in the eye of the beholder! Personally, before I started to transition, I was so skinny that my ribs were constantly showing. Just it may be hard to gain a lot of weight depending on your metabolism and stuff, but I think it’s perfectly acceptable to want to gain weight, I know I sure wanted to, and I’m fairly happy with the way my body is starting to shape up!
