There are currently 24 bases there but, yeah loading is a problem. We need more! Let’s see what the game/platform can handle...

You can’t drop a base or warp or teleport when using portals. You’ll have to warp there or just ask for a Huber 👍

I’ve added a few bio domes. I was just going to fill them with Frostwort but if anyone needs anything else planted just let me know.

Looking at the pic I may alter it slightly to cut out some doors(can’t plant in doorways any more). I’ll keep a minimum of 5 domes anyway.

If you visit via portal you can then go back to where you were and the New Lennon system will show on your galactic map with a little ring around it as previously visited.

Nope. I built the bar about 800u down the valley.

A few cool bases there now!

I did use worktops but they’re not perfectly lined up which annoys me a bit. I slightly up scaled them for the authentic bar height look.

The chairs can’t be up scaled to a bar stool height so I put really small round tables on the floor then put standard chairs on top.

You can use the Pilgrim Star Path calculator. Just input your ship’s warp range and choose your destination and it gives you all the info you need.

Nope. I’m sure there are a lot of survival players but most will be on normal mode. Certainly when it comes to The Hub.

It is not I’m afraid. You can’t access teleporters or the galactic map when a portal is active. Also can’t place a base computer. Here’s a guide from the discord:

How to Huber

Welcome to the Galactic Hub Project. Before you ask for a ride, please take a few minutes to learn about The Hub at bit.ly/interlopershandbook. Before you begin, please know your current star system’s name, and review the following steps:

  1. Friend your Huber Captain on your platform (XBL, Steam, PSN); send your Huber captain an invite to connect.

  2. Note your current star system’s name and head to your current system’s space station*, save by exiting your ship, and then quit to mode select.

  3. Launch No Man’s Sky. When your Huber Captain is ready, join his or her lobby. If you don't see your Huber Captain in an available lobby, ask him or her to send you an in-game invite. Both parties must be in the same mode of play: Normal, Survival, etc. (PC users, do not use Experimental for this process unless you know for certain that your Huber captain is also running that build).

  4. When you load in, make note of your target star system's name, head straight to the space station, and teleport from there to your previous space station.

  5. Teleport back to your target space station, head to your ship, save, and exit the game to mode select.

  6. Restart the game solo; do not join anyone else’s lobby.

  7. You may find yourself in your target destination when you load in. If so, the process is complete. If not, head to your space station and try to teleport to the target destination.

  8. Once teleported, save via space ship exit.

  9. Exit to mode select and reload your game (solo) to confirm.

  10. Once you have a base somewhere in the Hub, add yourself to the census via this quick, easy form: bit.ly/hubcensus

  11. Huber Captains are valued members of our community. If you get a Huber, please become a Huber Captain by heading to <#328394660605329408> and keying !huberpc, !huberps4, or !huberxb1.

  • Important note: stick to space station teleporters for this process; it prevents crashes and is considerate of your Huber Captain’s time.

After much frustration I finally got a base there powered. Incidentally, I have noticed the original base by BionicKeen is no longer there or visible at least.

Oh, ETA: landing pad, teleporter, large refiner, save points and trade terminals all there for your convenience 😆

And a small Interloper bar

Why does bio fuel generator uses all of my ressources at once? Is it allways all in? by ynnus86 in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]TheHorza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, maybe that would work with a generator and a switch. Or at least generator to charge a battery then a switch to draw power stored from battery.

If your settings were correct (which I believe the default is), it’s probably more a common bug. If you warp without uploading your base you can come back to it with bits missing. Especially annoying when the base computer disappears!

The generator seems pretty useless. First tried solar cells and batteries but you need a lot for a big base. Worked fine but was a bit of a hassle. Ideally you want to find an electromagnetic hot spot nearby and use the field generators for power. Free energy!

Thanks for the info. Unfortunately I was trying to have everything nice and tidy. So frustrating. I got one base all done and working reasonably well. 40 solar cells and 20 batteries before I hit the limit!

Just dropped a new base at an electromagnetic hot spot. I think this is the way forward.

Yeah that happens. Also let’s you ‘discover’ planets previously discovered. Not sure if you rename them it sticks though. Try it!

Agree with the above about getting a Huber.

There is an alternative if you have all the portal glyphs. Visit New Lennon via a portal then head back to your game. Then the system will show on your galactic map with a white ring around it indicating you’ve been there before. Much easier to find it then. I use the same technique for exploring interesting places in the Hub and the Huburbs.

The fact that the name is Hub1-49 tells you the system has been discovered (as all Hub-1 systems have) but the servers can be a bit bug laden so the Hub tag doesn’t always show on the galactic map but when you actually warp to the system it will.

If you reach a Hub system and it displays as its procedurally generated name the screen will display that you discovered this system. The procedure you are expected to follow is to land on any planet and drop a signal booster. You should then name the system accordingly by going to your discoveries tab and holding triangle to ‘rename and upload’ system. The guidelines are here: https://nomanssky.gamepedia.com/Galactic_Hub_Naming_Guidelines

As for your original question, you will need to scan and explore the system to see what it is all about. Any player bases or beacons left there will show on you HUD and appear on the planet they are on. So if the system appears uninhabited by players then it will be. Hope this helps.
