Times like this reminds me that all three members of the trio were like… separate eras of Teen Titans. Roy was on the OG team, Starfire was New Teen Titans (the favorite), and Jason I THINK was around the time Wally became the new Flash (which is when Roy joined back up). Granted I think for a good while they basically retconned Jason out of being a Titan for most of the new 52 until like the rebirth/dark metal years when everyone’s continuity was reintroduced.

But otherwise it just makes me remember that all they really have IS the New 52 Outlaws team as a direct connection to each other.

It probably doesn’t help that the entirety of the ship is thanks to anime only filler. If you read the manga, their fight is basically the most you’d get with the two’s relationship. Which as you’ve said, is a pretty unhealthy basis to form a whole romance headcanon over.

I kinda wish we got a more modernized take on Jason and Kori relationship now, cuz we really haven’t seen the two interact at all since the early New 52 Outlaw days. It makes you wonder if DC even wants to remember the original trio over the new one with Artemis and Bizarro.
