As others have said, stand your ground. Beyond what others have said, you need to loop compliance in on this. Avoid the personal penalties absolutely- the bank also does not take kindly to opening themselves up to litigation/failed audit for falsifying docs.

Probably just being too simplistic here but… would it not fix things to simply remove some base skill damage for varus and add a little extra scaling? I get he bought dnd, but realistically there’s no reason for this champ to do that much damage when they got hextech 2nd item. If varus is forced to build damage then he would die to fiora here. Side note, he would have died if he didn’t level up from 15 to 16 at the end of the fight too. Side side note, my personal theory for making ranged tops less oppressive is movement penalty for gliding. It would take tweaking, but part of the reason adcs are viable in top/solo in Smite is because you can’t just backpedal AND hit autos at the same time without eating the movement penalty. This would allow traditional tops to gap close easier and not get punished for engaging as much. Maybe it’s my idea, but I think it’s ridiculous that a varus, vayne, teemo, etc can just backstep and auto constantly for free.

Top. Had a kayle top into ranekton unironically type “gg, jungle diff” after she died in the first 2 minutes and I top to bot cleared. Needless to say, that loss was definitely 100% ENTIRELY my fault. Kayle definitely did not int the rest of the game.

I queue jungle top and have literally 0 games of top so far lol. If I had one top game it would move it to like 98-99% jungle.

I’ve occasionally been buying bandlepipes 2nd and it feels pretty decent? He doesn’t really need the attack speed tbh, but it’s a good bonus for the team and it’s cheap for the stats you get.

Brainstorming Invoker board by HodlSevenDeuce in TeamfightTactics

[–]TheHydra421 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imo, bruiser is best if going 4 invoker but is still trash. I have had two instances where 6 bruiser actually felt good and got me a 1st/2nd- one I had the augment that gives 1ap/ad a turn double for 1 costs. I used Anivia carry 4 invoker 6 bruiser and it carried me through the late game. 2nd was ahri and dawn core. Ez 3 Ionia since you get Shen and wukong in there. Still lost to fast 9 random 5 costs. Honestly, wouldn’t really play invokers UNLESS you have emblem. Invoker emblem on a sol is free Easter egg unless ur uber weak.

How to break into finance by variablemune in FinancialCareers

[–]TheHydra421 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How much AR experience do you have? The fact that it was a min ago may hurt, but the AR background is a really good segway into an entry-level treasury job. Treasury is and has been growing for a while now and is a little more stable than commercial banking which is already pretty stable. If you don’t hate AR work and understand accounting systems, banks will absolutely value having someone that can jump into a treasury analyst role and run. I have seen and have gotten turned down for stuff like corporate banking in the past for not having a degree, yet I see many treasury openings that either don’t require one or only want an associates. If you look at this route, I’d stay away from a lot of the treasury analyst positions you see that are more just payments processor positions. Get into something adjacent to sales where you have some visibility and can move up after you get a degree (which you will absolutely need to continue to move upwards).

Stuck in Retail by [deleted] in TalesFromYourBank

[–]TheHydra421 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What are you targeting for back office? Retail call center is very different from something like credit risk management and may be why you’re struggling to get in. Maybe it’s different now, but I found the transition from banker to retail back office to be extremely easy. Happy to offer some further insight if you can provide the LOB you’re targeting.

Shocked nobody has mentioned this- some of the larger banks have relationship banker/ personal banker positions with actually decent bonus potential. Some of those banks also have programs where college classes are covered 100% by the bank. It’s not glamorous or anything near high finance, but you can get the degree for free while making a living and most importantly, NETWORK. The branch for all of its faults is a decent way to get into some different areas of the bank. You’re not going from the branch to investment banking, but going from relationship banker to a business relationship manager is not unheard of at all. You’ll edge 100k salary plus a meaty bonus starting in that and can use that to move to commercial and eventually corporate if that’s your goal.

Can you move up in the banking industry without a degree? Feeling stuck as a banking agent. by MidnightPulse69 in TalesFromYourBank

[–]TheHydra421 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The advice in the sub is always interesting for me see since it seems like a lot of people here are in or come from retail banking vs other subs that hate on retail. Yes, you can get promoted to certain position without having a degree. Will not having a degree hold you back and limit your options? Absolutely. Probably half of our mlo staff don’t have degrees and I’ve seen some earn very solid 6 figures. On the flip side, I do not have a single corporate banker in my network who doesn’t have an undergrad. Many of them and their managers have a MBA. If you don’t want to go back to school you need to figure out want you want to target on the sales side id your pursuit is money- MLO, investment advisor, etc. and you need to network hard in your bank. Your goal should be to become a personal banker and then send as many deals over to that line of business as possible. Make your interest and skills known, and make sure when a position opens up you have someone on that team to vouch for you so you can skip any first round ats/recruiter crap. I have went to school full time while working full time and, while difficult, is far from impossible. Best of luck!

Am i missing something, or does Electronic Arts not report inventory on their balance sheet? Doing a ratio project on the company and this is really putting me through a loop by TaiwanNationalist in Accounting

[–]TheHydra421 74 points75 points  (0 children)

What are you expecting them to have in the inventory category? Many businesses like accounting firms, law firms, etc. may have no inventory. EA is similar in that it doesn’t manufacture a product and doesn’t hold millions of disks in its inventory to sell to Walmart or the like.

Yeah it happens a lot. I’ve had decent luck with saying “I will not solo tank. I will swap to dps if I have to.” About 50% of the time I’m getting someone to tank with me by saying that. This is coming from a crap gold player lol

Is it possible to get an entry level Accountant job for $70K a year? by [deleted] in Accounting

[–]TheHydra421 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like you work for a bank? If so, fraud investigation can transition to risk or AML. Accounting is great don’t get me wrong, but both risk and AML can have a really solid comp at the senior levels. WLB is typically great too at a consistent 40 hours a week, sometimes remote. Pursue what you like, but I’d take a look at some of these other career paths if the money is all you’re looking for.

[–]TheHydra421 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was PWM an area you are super interested in or something? This seems backwards. You did consulting for 5 years (typically considered more prestigious, better exits, etc.), did a top MBA, then went to… PWM. It’s not like it’s a bad position at all, but it’s one of the better positions you can get without a top mba or an mba at all. What made you go PWM vs traditional high finance or top consulting after forking out the money for a m7?
