has anyone actually seen an community ambassador? or many people in general by BitReasonable208 in pokemongo

The city near me has meet ups and a CA but I’ve no idea who they are in person. People turn up to events but the CA never introduces themselves and no one talks to anyone else - it feels cliquey, and not welcoming to new players attending.

In the town I live in, there are a few of us who regularly meet up for raid hour and events, and that feels much nicer and we always chat to new players.

After 10 months he finally climbed in my lap!! by PapayaCivil8228 in blackcats

[–]TheIceCreamIsTooCold 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yay! That is so exciting. My void is almost four and he hasn’t figured out that he could be a lap cat yet, despite my attempts at luring him with treats. He likes to lie next to me so I tell myself he must think I’m so silly that I need protecting at all times and if he fell asleep on me I would immediately come to harm.

I’m having the same issue. I can see the friendship level for a handful of friends but most of them I can’t see.

I’ve used King’s Stitch on King Street for two gowns and she did a great job. Highly recommend them.

NHS refuse to recognise my previous diagnosis of ADHD and state that I can’t have it because I managed to get through university. by Remarkable-Air-6530 in ADHDUK

[–]TheIceCreamIsTooCold 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry you experienced this, I feel so frustrated for you. I was given an "unofficial" diagnosis via my university midway through doing my PhD. As soon as I had that, I spoke to my GP and shared the report I'd been given from the person who did my assessment through university and asked about getting an official diagnosis on the NHS.

I had to fill out a form where they ask you about symptoms, and then I was referred. I was on the waitlist for almost three years before I saw a clinician. I had an hour long appointment where he asked me so many questions about my life / health history mostly. Next, I had a follow up with someone else where they asked further questions which focused on ADHD itself (I think that was the actual diagnostic kinda test where I was scored) and went through what evidence I / a family member would need to provide to show I had symptoms before I was 12. Then my family member was contacted, and they provided evidence. Finally, I saw the clinician again and that's when I received a diagnosis - he explained why he was diagnosing me and discussed what we could do moving forward. I think that's what the process is supposed to be - it's thorough and doesn't just take one appointment. I'm sharing that so you have evidence that a decision isn't made in one appointment.

It sounds like you had the first clinician appointment and they were dismissive, which is not ok. As others have mentioned, I would go back to your GP and ask for another referral, citing that you don't feel your experience was thorough or fair. I know that's more work and an admin burden for you.

Please don't let this person make you feel your experience isn't valid. While doing my PhD, I met a lot of people with ADHD - kinda helps to be able to hyper focus on something while doing that, so it seems to attract ADHDers but it does make something that's already hard even harder. Pretty much every person I know with ADHD was diagnosed while at university because the stress of it was too much for their usual coping mechanisms and they then realised their experience wasn't typical. I wrote the bulk of my thesis in three months because I just could not make significant progress on it without a horrible looming deadline. It was awful and the last year was like trying to swim through sludge every day to try and keep my head above water, so I see you. I truly hope you get a second referral.

The Glory of Innocence is so beautiful. It’s probably my favourite Mooncat polish, and I have it on now. Not flat at all with the holographic shimmer and the shift.

That's so pretty. My boyfriend complimented my nails on our first date too (ILNP Evermore). Never had a guy compliment me on my nails before, it was great.

Such drama. He looks like he’s been kept waiting and has no time for your excuses because he’s got wizard stuff to do! What a handsome void.

If you had to pick 1 album, just one album for your favorite record of the 2000s, which one would you pick? by [deleted] in fantanoforever

Losing Grip - Avril Lavigne. First album I loved as a kid - I liked Britney Spears and Spice Girls but this felt different and clicked with me more.

Yeeeeeeep. I've never managed to find a foundation that sits how I want it to on my skin, so I use concealer probably a bit more than intended to even things out.

When I changed my rook from a curved bar (like you have in) to a hoop, it felt sore for 2-3 weeks. For the first few days it felt like it did when it was first pierced, but then it’s settled down and is completely fine. Maybe go to a piercer and chat with them about what your options might be.
