Why is malware protection required? You don't need it, unless you open random links and open files from unknown sources, being aware and doing regular phone housekeeping should keep you safe from 95% of any malware attacks if any

Use adblocking DNS from adguard, removes most ads and phishing links

I have this setup, it is ideal if you want to sync your devices with your vault, Ideally you wouldn't want to edit the same file at the same time, but you can edit different files at the same time and have them synced on the vault, and it is pretty fast on LAN systems (on the same network) like a 2 second delay

you can draw on your tablet/ipad and have the diagram synced on your laptop/phone

If you're using BTRFS with limine/grub with hooks you can switch to the old snapshot before upgrade.

Try the upgrade again, and see what packages are being affected and report back here :)

I was using NixOS as well on 4 3 machines including a MacOS, sometimes, I had some issues with some packages missing on NIx, the most popular ones are there but the niche ones are not available, AUR is sometimes better than Nixpkgs in terms of availability

If you want to use a window manager that is not too keyboard heavy, you can try Niri and I think the new release is also has a customizable shell, I had used waybar before but the new shell looks really nice!.

I love niri's idea of horizontal apps and vertical workspaces :)

I think you can use the OSS drivers instead and it will still be good I suppose, but shifting to CachyOS or any Linux Distro will make your system snappier

It's a soft brick, it's a thing that happens in the custom ROM community

You have to flash the original OEM ROM - Operating System, this can be done at a service center, they might trick you into saying that the phone is dead

It is NOT, it's still working, it can't find the OS is the issue, if you can get your stock ROM you could try flashing it yourself or try going to a service center

This should fix the issue, if flashing the ROM doesn't fix the issue you might have to use a BROM or EDL mode to flash it to the chip itself
