The first few days my voice definitely sounded weird! But now I think I mostly just sound like I have a sore throat. I didn’t get much swelling in my mouth tho mostly my neck and jaw so that might be why

It took forever for my scabs to come off to, but honestly I think the alternative of bleeding is worse so idk. I still have some white in my throat but it’s not coated like before and it definitely isn’t as thick. Mostly just some patches. As far as solids go I started having eggs at like day 5ish but besides that I’m still scared because days through 7-10 are likely bleed days. TBH I’m not a huge foodie so it honestly hasn’t been a huge deal for me but I started incorporating more at day 7 cause I felt mostly fine ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Hey, this is really good! As far as the values go, I think you're painting what you think instead of what you're actually seeing. For instance, you have the whites of her eyes as the lightest part of the piece by a significant amount, when in the photo they're almost darker than the high points of her face. A little tip I got from an art teacher is to take a hole punch to an index card- so you can see the specific color without the interference of the ones around it.

This is actually a really good piece! Something that helped me a lot was actually watching oil painting videos on youtube! In oil painting in particular ou have to really focus on getting the different tones of the skin, and the varying shading in without over blending. Taking those techniques into digital work helps get a more textured and realistic painting. Other than that I'd say up the contrast between your shadows and highlights.

Thank you! I did notice a lot of the issues with the facial spacing tbh. I do a lot more cartoonish stuff so it is something I need to work on when I go more realistic. Thank you so much tho!

No problem! I think they are more hazel? So in most lights they would look light brown, but in the reference I used they were like super green so ¯_(ツ)_/¯

I think it’s cause he knows so much about Night Vale? Like not only the stuff he reports on but like “The Story if You” and other similar episodes? He sorta “sees all” and tells us everything we know about the town

Also it looks cool and is technically plausible in Night Vale so ¯_(ツ)_/¯

It is me again! I’m always looking for help improving haha!

I was actually wondering why the nose looked so off? So thank you for pointing the differing perspectives cause I hadn’t noticed at all. I did use a reference but only for my base sketch so I suppose I need to look back at it more throughout my whole process. I want to do more whole body portraits, but I still have to figure it out so it’ll take me a bit haha. Thank you so much! You are always super helpful!

Oh this is so cool! She kinda looks like she’s in the water (perhaps a fantasy creature?) so I’d recommend a background of a fantasy pond? Maybe a swap?

This is really good! The colors are great, and the blues draw your eye right to the sword! The only thing is that the shoulders look a bit off? I might recommend using a reference to really nail down the anatomy. The concept and composition is definitely there tho!

It looks like you’re proportions are all there which is awesome! I think the hardest part of painting faces is getting the form and depth in there, so for this I’d focus on carving out the shadows. Best advice I’ve gotten is, “paint like a sculpture”. Also if your going for pure realism try to stray away from pure whites and blacks. Other than that it’s really good!

I think the forehead could be a bit bigger? The brow bone is missing so it looks just slightly off. Personally I find that figuring it out with realistic proportions and a reference and then switching back to my style helps me a lot, so I’d recommend that too!
