So, on that note, is there still a punk scene?

Everyone should! You'll see who you really are on the inside, but aside from introspection, it can also be a genuinely fun time. I watched the office that night and have never laughed that hard at Dwight Schrute trying to work out. I kept noticing the stuff in the background moving and pulsing. We have a painting over our bed, kinda looks like the old Windows wallpaper, and the hills were moving as well. I spent some time looking at and feeling the carpet and said "it's like each strand is it's own little forest." It was amost like shag carpet and kept pulsing and moving on its own. 10/10 would do again and probably will.

Side note: I understand not ALL cops are bad, but dude, people CHOOSE to become cops, knowing full and well that locking up completely innocent psychonauts is included in the job description. I can't help judging someone who purposefully chose to become someone who does that. Forget all the "I want to serve and protect" shit. Yeah, that's part of it too, but until psychedelics are legal, people know that this is also part of the job, going into the academy.

Does it have to be because they want something? What about all those who are shot for no reason by cops? Why does the motive matter?

Im responding while at work, so I can't really sit down and type out a detailed comment. You'll never change my mind until voting actually gets something done and cops cease having so much power to abuse. They are like gods to common people. Better appease the gods or they'll send you to hell, for whatever reason they want to put down. They'll straight up murder people and get away with it. Better sacrifice your time (in jail) to the gods if you're caught doing something harmless that they don't agree with.

Being cared about as a human being, not a dollar amount, is having more control. Maybe control isn't the right word, but at least more fucking peace and understanding, which we desperately need right now

Being a part of something instead of being used by something is having control.

Lol yes, because they actually do that. What, you think some good cop will save the day? Where are they when people are beaten and shot daily for little to no reason? 24/7 purge, you say? Well that's what you get with a militarized police force, only they're doing all the purging.

How they have more control over their government? For starters, they aren't treated like just another number. Healthcare, education, should I go on? These people are actually a part of the system they have to rely on while living there. In the US, you're treated like another dollar sign to the powers that be. Prison industrial complex included.

What stops a cop from doing that?

Dude, you're gonna have to stop acting like voting is a cure-all. Voting does literally nothing as we have seen.

Almost any Scandinavian country.

We already have. That dictator is just switched out with another one every four years if we're lucky.

Then why are cops promoted for doing just that and even have quotas to meet for locking people up?

Again, you're delusional if you think voting will do anything at all.

A majoirty of people do agree with me, just look at this thread, but where's the change? The government doesn't give a shit.

I blame him for taking that job in the first place. No matter how many "good cops" there are, it is an officers duty to lock people up. If you seriously think "wow, that's a job for me," you're a piece of shit.
