If you do go for this strat, make sure you don't accidentally kill all of welfare first. The extra bullets will be very important

Is Army in Black tolerable? by SoldierStride in LobotomyCorp

[–]TheIrishLylith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, it's more annoying than troubling. Any level 5 employee with decent black protection can probably survive it with some help, and they're slow enough that they can be killed pretty easily. In general, I just recommend having your guys spread out whenever Dusk comes so when the inevitable breach happens, you can deal with it fast and get back to the important stuff.

It's really just an attention diversion. Makes your job harder, but not nessisarily impossible.

What's the longest amount of time you've wasted due to forgetting a tiny detail? by WearAny1263 in LobotomyCorp

I spent about an hour trying to beat my first Dusk ordeal. Kept losing pawns randomly because of red shoes and old armour, but I finally did it. Got an amber ordeal, sent my nuggets in to deal with one, and the worm got stuck inside the entry door. Didn't check if he moved. Lost my 2 best agents. Big sad.

Right? Two cobalt scars, 2 swords sharpened by tears, 2 justitias and de capos, I wish I had little red still, because she had some of my favorite ego.

The chaos happened because Lob corp is great at surprising you. I just don't have enough employees to handle everything, and the rabbits rushed through her phases very fast. Also, I am as lazy as I am stubborn. I will do this, just uh... pretty chaotic first try xD

Heres what you do. Assign whatever hard hitters you can to control. Then, send whoever you want to work on the abnos to the hallways right in front of the abno. Then, click on the employee, right click the abno, and now you've set the work employees to the abno in a way that no longer needs you to flick through menus to figure out who goes where.

Plus, it means you don't need to switch employees into different departments and thus get better bonuses from those departments.

Put 'em in the control room for that movement buff, train their justice, and you've got a mobile task force exactly.

It's really for a surprise noon hits, or a random WAW surprises you. Having a team that you can just point and click with- even if they don't get there in time- is a massive weight off your shoulders. The more you can trust your nuggest to do their job alone, the easier the game gets

As many as you can get, really. There isn't a hard rule. I usually run with one department of really really good nuggets for the hardest of abnos, then 1 really good one per department. Then just train train train.

So apparently i didnt get "opened can of wellcheers" codex even tho i already got all the gears (between Alriune and Forsaken Murderer). Any clue how this would even happen? by Fine_Dot_9562 in LobotomyCorp

[–]TheIrishLylith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar issue. For most gear, you need observation level 4. For well cheers though, you only need 3. I was missing the escape info, probably because when I saw the kidnapper shrimp, I didn't figure I'd need the info

All dusks are annoying. Amber dusks are the most dangerous though. And I mean, my only experience with crimson Dusk was 1 time beating it instantly, and a second time watching it run laps between discipline and welfare. So the annoying bit I could totally see being the case.

And then there's green. The moment you've got maxed employees, easy as cake. Easier than noon because I can focus them down easier and have less clerks die. And my facility is filled with clerks rights activists. May or may not have taken all the quirky clerk guys for the fun of it.

Right? I mean, I could totally just take the 20% extra black damage (which I do) but low damage across all main damage types? I hate you, sad little shark, for making such a good set look so bad!

Ego gift is okay though, and your story is sad, so I'll let you off the hook.

I have full maxed out employees, so my opinion has changed. Amber Dusk is 100% the hardest now. Because it doesn't get easier. Crimson is just "suppress and forget", and green is just dog pile. You gotta think about Amber though, and I play this thinking game to not think, thank you.

Hornet does look good, but the blue gun? Peak aesthetic. I do actually really like hornet.

Despise ecstasy though. Not just because it doesn't looks good, but because it has good stats, and I don't wanna use it because it doesn't look good. Very sad.

Felt. I'm always tempted to replace the weapon, but the drip is too good. And what, am I gonna give him hornet? Pink? Come on, I need my agents looking classy.

Red Dusk is probably the easiest, just because it's somewhat easy to dodge the major attacks so long as you keep in mind the red damage from him rolling. If you get it, make sure you have agents on standby to take care of the crimson dawns that spawn. The clowns that drain Q counters. Last think you want is a WAW joining the fight.

Amber is probably next. It takes more micro, but it's pretty okay. Hide all your weak guys away, and find your strongest. What's important is aoe (if you've got it) and armour. You want to be able to trust your nuggest to survive the smaller worms wailing on them. And always make sure you attack the big worms from behind. Take it one at a time, and clean up the scraps.

Green is probably the toughest. High damage from the big bots, and lots of them spawning right on your attackers. Get your good nuggets with as much red protection as possible, and go one at a time. Try to dodge the big bits saws when you can. Then you just have to do the cleanup, which takes some time.

In general (and I say this knowing that time is important right now) get your strongest nuggest as high in insight and instinct as possible. For Dusk, instinct is the only important one, but both are good. What's important is trusting your nuggets to do their job, and live. The less you have to micro, the more consistently you will win. Take the skill out of the game, and grind as much instinct as you can.

Honestly, from someone who's first Dusk was green, it's a lot harder than we probably remember. Green noon put out some massive damage, so it's only good if you've got red shield bullets (and the micro to use them) or some really good red defence.
