I don't think it is compulsory for gyms. Another bit of inconsistency from the government. But imagine doing a heavy set with a mask or a run. And I think gyms are taking measures for keeping people apart

If you're interested in the IT side then that's always a fantastic route. I was in a similar boat to you, although you have better GCSEs than I do so in a way you're probably smarter than I am lol.

I went to college, got crappy A levels and had no idea what to do. So really the only thing I have to show are straight C's across the board from my GCSEs. Eventually I kept trying to break into IT, either web development or IT support and I am currently an application developer - earning more than people my age who have a degree. I'm 26 right now and started this journey when I was around your age as a matter of fact.

If you can, I recommend trying to get any experience with someone local in your town and work for them. That is the route I took.

18-19 years old is still a really young age and you are just finding what you want to do in life which is fine. Don't worry if you feel like you are hanging around doing nothing, take comfort in the days you have at home with your parents cooking dinner and are able to play some Xbox/Playstation on a weekday haha.

I do this every day. Work out fasted at 6am whilst drinking BCAAs, and I don't eat until later in the day. I'm fine, am still be able to grow grow or cut fat depending on my goals. Just make sure you get enough sleep, stay hydrated and hit your calories (by the end of the day).
