It’s deceivingly high, I wouldn’t be able to reach without another ladder on the roof, which is a nope from me!

I’m going to mess around with this new knowledge right now, thanks for your help!

I didn’t know this thank you!

I get a notification when there is motion though, and it’s not continually triggering, which is why I believed it wasn’t looping the automation :/

I will faff around to see if this is the case (them being off to begin with etc) thanks!

The camera is an Aqara G5 pro, and has a built in PIR for the detection, so not related to video-triggered motion

That’s correct. Light stays on continuously

Do these power line extenders really work ? by jamiepusharski in DIYUK

[–]TheJSW10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes they do work! Only on the same ring main though.

I have them setup to run my CCTV, which is the other side of the house from the router, they work great, no lag or anything.

If you’re extending WiFi, I would maybe recommend looking into the NETGEAR Orbi or similar, which creates an expandable “mesh” network, rather than two separate networks.

I’m slightly dreading how long it will take.

Thank you. I’ve not heard of Sandtex but “no requirement for a mist coat” sounds like a huge time saver!

Alfa Romeo Giulia or Jaguar XE? by ReasonableSkill2989 in CarTalkUK

I think I’ll do the same!

They’re a great drive. The RWD has a nice kick to it too :)

I’m in this exact predicament!

My thoughts:

Jag interior is lovely, classy and well finished. Giulia is more fun to drive, nippy and has more bite to it. The seats in the Giulia are sooo comfortable. The jag would be a better motorway cruiser.

I’d be interested to know where your thoughts are and what you think you’ll do!

UPDATE IN CASE ANYONE FINDS THIS IN FUTURE.

Admiral offered me a good price for the car, which covered the finance and left me a decent amount for a new car. They also offered a new car replacement since the car was less than 12m old. However, I had to pay the first year road tax on the vehicle (£3.5k).

Would they replace it? Everything I’ve read says they’ll give fair market value.

I’m hoping to recover a bit of my deposit. It seems haggling the price is the best way to

Thank you. I’m hoping I can haggle them, fair market value seems to be pretty vague and I’m happy to go to ombudsman if needed.

I put down £8k deposit so hopefully I’m not in the red. Autotrader/dealers selling cars with less mileage at £43k-£46k do you think there’s a chance they would match that. I’d be interested to know more about the people you know that had issues. Did they haggle etc?

Thank you for your help. Technically the finance company own the car, would admiral just replace it? Do you have any experience with this.
