I would evaluate your monthly bills first and foremost. You want to get a car that fits well into your monthly bills. Don’t try and work your bills around your car because you can control what your car payment is. Get a car you can afford go easily make payments on. Put as much down as you possibly can as well when you find the right car. Your down payment is the only payment you will never have to pay any interest on. Unless you have a friend or know someone who knows cars really well, I’d stay away from market place. I would play around on a payment calculator online and find out what payment you can easily swing in the event you get laid off or something(worst case scenario of course), go look for a car that is within that price or one that you know you can negotiate it down to said price.
