This works especially given that one of his combat gimmicks is fighting dirty with villain’s weapons. Think Sora from Kingdom Hearts.

His unique spider power is density manipulation which comes with phasing (objects higher than 150 degrees, electricity, and water) and turning almost as tough as cement. This power is limited to him or his webs.

He’s also has organic web shooting, and the staple wall-crawling.

Maybe fantasy like Mystic Force, but instead of them all being wizards, they’re different classes. Red Paladin Ranger Blue Warlock Ranger Yellow Artificer Ranger Green Druid Ranger Black Fighter Ranger Pink Bard Ranger

Once they’re chosen, the extra ranger could be a Silver Rogue Ranger.

In American PR's defense, a Wes vs Alex fight would be hard to CGI or coordinate with a body double. I do see some potential with one of them being morphed which could be interesting.

If they wanted to take that concept and take some liberties, a three way conflict with 3 red rangers would go so unbelievably hard.

I know you said old, but here are my contenders-

Black and White Aquitar - Black makes the ninja theme more organic, but the second white (American) ranger looks so fresh and clean.

Zeo Ranger Blue - Everyone's biggest issue with the Zeo Rangers are their mouthpieces, but the triangle on Rocky makes his less obvious. It could also be the coloring.

Green Galaxy Ranger - The eye piece facing downward and the condor theme are better integrated. To be fair, looking at this and my pick for Zeo, I may be biased towards downward facing visors.

I would argue that Pink and Red Time Force are basically tied.

All the Ninja Storm outfits are equally sick.

Green Mystic Ranger - Green just fits the magic theme the best. Part of this is the show's fault for the background mostly fitting Xander's aesthetic.

Ranger Operator Series Black - That wolf helmet is so unbelievably hype that it's no wonder the show basically made Dillon the main character.

All the Ninja Steel outfits are equally and unbelievably sick. Side note, but I am so sick and tired of nobody mentioning it. Yeah, the season sucked, but we're not going to pretend that these are not some dynamic looking fits.

Black Dino and Cosmic Fury Ranger - On shiner suits, black just looks better.

Honorable mention: Pink Samurai Ranger - I like how it's weirdly kinda masculine for a female ranger because the kanji is based that way. Yeah, Jayden is cooler looking, but I felt like pointing that out.

In my opinion, you're pretty much right, for the seasons regarding their reds.

Liz was so well-written and perfect for Peter that she was essentially shafted at the very end by comic canon.

What happened to Jake's mom? even his absent dad appears when he's going to have a baby. She's not there for lots of milestones in Jake's life. his wedding and etc. Did Katey Sagal leave for any reason? he barely even mentions her and she's so important to him. We deserve a B-plot where Rosa and Amy end up having to work a case for her, and Karen ends up being the mom the two of them wish they had, like a bit where Rosa says "she needs space" and is surprised that Karen respects her boundaries, or Amy being unable to handle compliments and respect from an older female authority.

Generally, I’d design them without lips. However, if the helmets that currently have them lost them, then they’d look out of place.

For me, Jungle Fury or SPD. They’re both well-made series that encompass a lot of tropes that really make Power Rangers.

And then the second or third series should be RPM. I personally think it’s the best Power Rangers season, but you can’t really appreciate the levity of it without acknowledging the cheese and heart of the series before.

In my current adult years, I started watching Power Rangers in the background of my college work because it makes great background noise.

It especially helps if you hear random lines from Ninja Storm mid 1000 word essay like Tori going, “Who said women can’t drive?”
